It took us over two hours to get our food and there were only three other tables dining in at the time. Rude service and lukewarm soup with no flavour. Would not recommend! No apology whatsoever for how late the food was. Dirty dishes too. Do yourself a favour and stay away.

Dezervedly popular, even on a Tuesday night for its high quality food, friendly owner and very reasonable prices.

We had been there for dinner. It was only 2 tables to serve at that time but the food came after 20-25mins. But the bad experience was the hygene. All the bowls and plates on the table seem stay there for a long time. Even when we tried to wipe them by tissue it wasn't clean any way. The food wasn't too bad but the environment was terrible.

Service: poor in every aspect.
Staff: incompetent, untrained and slow. One was surly as well.
Ambience: flat and, did I mention, slow.
Food: nothing positive I can say about the food. I should have known better. Churning insides have kept me awake all night. I will be happy when it is purged from my alimentary canal and safely on its way to Bolivar, where it belongs.
And if you’re vegan (I’m not but have loved-ones who are), options are extremely limited.
I don’t normally give bad reviews. But no saving grace here.

Sorry we just ordered take away and the sweet corn soup was like jelly had to chuck it out. Spring rolls were very sloppy. Not enough meat in their dishes to many veggies. Won't be ordering again.

Food is cold and flavourless. Table who came in after us got served before us, bathroom is sticky. No atmosphere!

We ordered quite late at 9: 30pm and they still took our order which was prepared quickly. The establishment itself was really lovely inside and the owners were delightful and friendly. The food was delicious and we really couldn’t fault anything!

I hate to give a low rating because the elderly man I think may own it is lovely, however I think he needs to be harder on his staff. Staff need to be told to do their job. They need to take orders and clear tables. I believe they must take uber eats as a priority because dining tables have to wait 2 hours for food. Perhaps dine in and order from uber eats Restaurant has good potential if staff would actually do their job. Also, don't sit near the door on a cold night because the takeaway drivers rudely leave the door wide open.

Service with a smile by a gorgeous elderly man and the food was fresh and delicious! I’d be going there all the time if I lived in the area

Loved eating in the restaurant at Mawson Lakes Chinese, lovely ambiance staff and chef so friendly and food was beautiful.

I had the honey chicken and the stay chicken skewers. The food was average, nothing particularly outstanding. However, the service is rather lacking. Whoever mans the reception desk is perfectly happy to be chatting with the people in the kitchen. I was waiting at the reception for a solid 5 minutes before I decided to ring the bell.

After someone came shortly after I rang the bell, they did take my order, cook it, and get it to me fairly promptly. Now I did get the order for takeaway, and I specifically asked for cutlery. They decided to give me two sporks for some reason. I mean, I don't know why I didn't get a set of chopsticks, but this is the first time I've gotten Chinese takeout and wasn't given chopsticks.

Ordered a meal arrive with missing rice and lemonade, boack bean and honey chicken was average.

Ordered uber eats. Told 30-40 min on app for delivery. Close to time the restaurant moves the time forward 10 minutes. This happened 4 times, I called the restaurant, they asked if I would like to cancell but it was almost ready. I asked to keep the order, then they put another 20 mins on delivery time. Uber driver sat waiting for the hour and was upset when he dropped it to us. Please just be honest on your wait times. This is the second exact experience we have had with Mawson lakes chinese, the food is nice and we thought to give another go. Sorry we Will not return

Food was outstanding! Service (none to start) was 'extremely' slow throughout the night but the food quality and presentation did make up for the wait. Compliments to the Chef but William (owner), you really need to get front of house sorted urgently. We were a group of 14, ordered and paid for separately which was handled ok in the end. Would highly recommend this restaurant but not if you are in a hurry, at least at the moment anyway.

Ordinary at best, tried for the first time tonight. Family of 4, only people in the joint. Meals came out randomly and were not overly hot. Kids wanted to take the leftover fried rice home and they had the cheek to charge 50c for the takeaway container. 1st and last time.

Came in tonight and waited about an hour and a half for food and the dishes came out separately, there was only one other couple in the restaurant. We got the fried rice to eat with the main meals, the fried rice came out first, then there was a wait till the next meal came out and then another wait till the next one came out. The waiter was lovely and the food was nice however it was not worth the extremely long wait and the dishes all coming out separately, very disappointing, would not recommend and will not be back

Some of the best chinese I’ve had.well cooked food, amazing timely service, excellent value for money.interior was spotless and well laid out, plenty of seats available - perfect for a function of any kind.everything was beautifully cooked and their special fried rice was so flavourful.will definitely be back again!

Waited 2 hours for food, food was cold and missing items. Tried to call them to cancel our order for almost an hour, no answer. Was told this was because they didn't put enough staff on, probably to save on public holiday rates. Won't be back
