Rooms were a decent size, beds comfortable. It's good value for the price. It's basic but friendly staff, affordable and quiet.

Great accom and great hosts. Loved the place. Not any more. New people taken over. 4 nights always cost me $530. Since this lot took over 4 nights went to $849.
That is price gouging. Old building and ok but not for their price.
Give it a miss. Greedy people do not deserve your custom. And they are not dinky di.

The location of the motel is exceptional. Large rooms, with breakfast included. A very quiet area. Most of all, the historic building itself is worth a look.

For what it is it was very clean and had good services. Who ever I spoke to on the phone prior to my booking was rude but otherwise the place did the trick

We stayed for a few nights. The hosts were amazing. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Yet they were never imposing. It is a very clean and stately old building with beautiful yesteryear features and modern conveniences. The rooms are a good size and the included breakfast is a fantastic way to start the day. Very close to the heart of Adelaide and the city free buses. Thank you I wish they all had this charm.

Stayed here for the 2nd time. On a quiet street opposite a open paddock with horses. 1st time when on 1st floor, could smell smoke from other room.this time on ground floor, room is nice. Breakfast included as well.
The current management is not continuing the lease, so might be changing management this year.

Hotel decor is dated, but it's close to city and Nth Adelaide shops, right on the free bus route to the city, parking and continental breakfast included. Modest rates and it's a winner for me.

A very charming motel. The room was very spacious, not new but with a lot of character. It reminded me of my guest house when I studied in London back in the days - amazing memories. The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the continental breakfast - simple, but tasty.

I would anytime go back to Princes Lodge Motel, should I go back to Adelaide. I also enjoyed the 40 minutes walk to the city center and China town.

Someone tried to get into my room in the middle of the night!
They knew the building entry code and they used a key. Fortunately I had the security latch on and they were unable to enter. I reported it to Andrew at reception the next morning but there is no cctv. 2 days later gave a follow up call to ensure this could not happen to anybody else. Andrew was very abrupt on the phone telling me he didn't know what response I was expecting. I said that the lock on room 22 and the building entry code will both definitely need changing. Andrew said good idea to change the code but the lock is unable to be changed (really?) very unhelpful and not hospitable at all.
I told Andrew I will write this review and he welcomed it.
DON'T STAY IN ROOM 22 or better still, don't stay at Princes at all.

Very clean, comfortable beds, free WiFi and parking, split system in the room, we loved the decor and the breakfast was surprisingly good for being a continental breakfast - they even had soy milk. Really good location and the staff was so helpful with explaining all the public transport to us. We will definitely be back!

Very friendly and helpful staff, single rooms basic but well priced for the location and the breakfast is a bonus. There is a free bus to the city that has a stop 100m down the street.

It's not the Hilton but it's very nice. Opposite a large park with horses. Great walks around. Close to shops, cafés, a bakery. Don't know about the parking as we go an Uber mobile from the Airport.

Have stayed here twice and thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The setting is rustic, but I've always found the service to be friendly and courteous, the breakfast excellent and overall a peaceful and pleasant place to stay. If you have a choice in a room in the mansion, ask for one on the back side, as the front can be a little noisy with traffic at night (that part is out of the control of management). Within 5 minutes walk from O'Connell Street, it has all of the comforts you would need for a short to medium term stay. Andrew, David and Adam all do a great job.

Was planning on staying here but when I called and asked the Lodge Manager if the rooms were tidy he hung up on me. I called back and told him he was very unprofessional for hanging up on me for asking a standard question regarding their rooms. To which he replied “How did you want me to respond? I’m sure you’re the type of person to complain about spider webs. ” I am shocked and appalled by his attitude and feel very disheartened by the response I received just for asking a simple question. If your intention is to stay here for longer than a night - wouldn’t you want to know if the rooms are up kept?

We are semi-regular visitors. It is within easy walking distance from all the eateries on O'Connell Street

Great rustic old mansion to stay in, all the mod cons and the best free coffee machine (with fresh ground beans) and included breakfast I have had, service was friendly and all kept neat and tidy.
