Penong Caravan Park reviews
66Mike was very hospitable and went out of his way to help us. We had a very long drive from Kalgoorlie to Penong in one day and Mike's support with accomodation and advice was invaluable. Mike also went out of his way to post us a few belongings we left behind. Thanks Mike.
We stay there going west and on the way back home. What a GEM to stay in. Jenny and Mike will help you in any way they can. After 3 months on the road I can say that this is the best camp kitchen. Clean every day with everything you can need to cook a feast. Will come back for sure and spot 29 is the best on windy days. Thanks again Lucy and Chris.
A well organised clean camp ground.
Host was very friendly and helpful.
Would recommend.
We just stopped in on our way back to Geelong. Got in late but it was no problem and our heater had been put on to make our cabin warm and inviting. Very clean and friendly staff. Highly recommended
Great little park, drive through site, laundry, toilets and showers. All lovely and clean, big under cover outdoor kitchen. Australian biggest windmill and windmill museum nearby.
Wonderful friendly park, well laid out. The ladies showers were a little a little disappointing with intermediate hot/cold, and fluctuating pressure, but otherwise very clean amenities and highly recommended. What was truly wonderful was the opportunity to leave unused fruit and veggies in the laundry for others to use, rather than throwing them away because of quarantine regulations. A very thoughtful gesture.
Perfect place to stop, we had planned to stay at Ceduna but were put off just by driving around the town.
We just walked in a got a site, no problem. 4 min walk to the pub for an awesome dinner, windmills and 1 min to Pioneer drive hole for Nullabour links. Amenities spotless, would stay again.
Recently stayed at the park and we gave it a 5/5. When we arrived we were greated by the very friendly owner who ensured that everything we needed to know was addressed. The site was hugh and level, the amenities block was very clean and the water for a shower was hot. The park has had major improvements since our last visit 2 years ago. We strongly recommend this park.
After running from the coast because of an approaching storm we pulled up at Penong to see if they had room for our camper trailer and 2 vehicles. Well they certainly did and the owners went out of their way to ensure we were given a site that had the best shelter from the wind even allowing for the wind change coming. The site was very large, amenities were incredible clean and nice hot showers, laundry is great with a wealth of information on display. We did not use camp kitchen as treated ourselves to a meal at the local hotel. Thankyou so much.
Agree with previous comments, hard to fault this park. Do your self a real favour and stop here, there's plenty to see and do.
What an amazing caravan park! It's owner operated and it shows. It's immaculate and the owners are delightful. They go the extra mile to help, including charging our electric car. Very hard to fault this park.
Awesome Caravan Park just off the HWY, facilities are superb and clean. Had planned to just camp out in the bush, but it got late and decided just to enjoy a night here, best decission. Owner at the front desk is very helpful and can give you a lot of helpful tips. 100% recommended! Shout out to the Owners for keeping the Park nice and tidy, you guys doing an amazing job
Lovely and tidy caravan park. Water, power, dump point and pets allowed. Great place to get ready for the long drive ahead over to the west. Only a short drive to Cactus Beach too
We stayed a night in the cabin. It was spacious, amazingly clean, comfortable and new. The bed was very cosy. Very reasonable price. Thanks to the welcoming owner!
Good spot, clean, tidy and unfortunately unable to extend stay but can recommend.
Easy drive to the pink and blue lakes and further down to the jetty at Port Sinclair, take a picnic lunch, there is a great undercover area with plenty of seats, or take a rod and have a fish from the jetty.
For the windmill buffs, the park is right across the road from the museum of windmills.
Great spot to stay if you want to see whales or the Pink Lake or Fowlers Bay. Easier than towing an extra 400km. Very clean facilities, level sites and large. Pending Hotel is an easy walk for a great meal. Windmill museum is across the road.
Great caravan park, super friendly and informative owners. Very good clean amenities. Stay a few days and have a look at Cactus beach. Iconic surf beach. And visit Point Sinclair, nice beach and a jetty.
This would have to be one of the cleanest places I have been to in my 63 years. The lady running it went out of her way to find something out for me couldn’t be more helpful.
5 stars without a doubt.
Stayed in one of the pet friendly cabins & was impressed. Clean & comfortable! Friendly & welcoming management. Close to ammenities. No complaints- thanks
I've been meaning to write this review for a few months. Stayed for 1 night in March. On our way across the Nullarbor we ran into a massive locust swarm. Made a real mess of the car and engine bay. Soon as I mentioned this to the owners, they arrived with a Karcher water pressure cleaner, vacuum cleaner, and also the workshop air compressor. Mick (?) helped me clean as well. They were very friendly and willing to help in any way. They also do the rounds during happy hour and chat to all the guests. Park very clean and well maintained. Will definitely stay again during future trips east/west.
