Palais Hotel

This place is a regular catch up for my fiance, I and friends. We can have amazing days here where the service is great and the food is. Though other times depending on staff, the service can be very disappointing and the food average. We do however always have a great time and it is a higher percentage of everything being great than not. Highly recommend the beef satays. Do not recommend the GF base for the pizzas. Fiance loves the Roast.

Love this place! Great food, service and atmosphere. Finding cool places to work on my laptop is something I enjoy. I come to edit photos here a fair bit and the cocktails are ALL amazing!

The best pub I have found here in Adelaide and for the excellent service the staff who work harmoniously and take good care of the detail of accommodating the customer, they are friendly and very kind and a wonderful smile even though I know that working in hospitality is very stressful, the staff are really fantastic… therefore approved in the first place
We ordered a margherita pizza as an entre to start a bit and then two schnitzel with salad and fried potatoes schnitzel with parmigiana and normal basic schnitzel, the wait was very short and not only was it also very busy and the dishes were really inviting and really delicious the pizza margherita was also good, really impressed and also very satisfied and happy.
Let's talk about the drinks I had 3 jams.cola. With little ice and but in the service of our drink another beautiful and very charming bartender beyond that and also a good bartender, we saw that he was preparing 8 Martini espressos served in tall and glass-worked Martini glasses I can confirm that I wanted to buy those glasses, but he did everything to the same measure and precision creamy perfect cocktails … thank you

Very nice atmosphere, and the food was of a very high quality. The serving size was excellent.

Tuesday lunchtime. Well occupied. Small dining area, with uncovered floor to ceiling windows, looking out to sandhills - and passing walkers. Menu on tables; table service; food good (ordered from Senior's menu - but this appears to end at start of Summer) ; prices average to high; easy to locate; public parking area near to premises; disability parking next to premises; disability entrance.

Absolutely delicious food and Absolutely poor service. After finishing our meal, the table staff came and went to every other table but ours. We are still sitting here with the remainder of our meal, empty plates and glasses 40mins later. Tables around us cleared by smiling staff yet here we still sit. Waiting. Attempts to make eye contact is fruitless. Disappointed. The room is now almost empty, 3 pairs left. Still no staff in sight. The food we thought we would take home will be rancid soon.

Food was great, reasonably priced, service was excellent.
A bit cold as the weather turned in the evening (as one would expect). Altogether a great evening.

Myself and my partner go there nearly every week and we are just amazed by the quality of food and the amazing customer service, so friendly and bright, we heavily recommend!

Easily the best food and service I’ve received from any restaurant/pub.
Arrived with no booking, received exceptional service, accommodated to request, food was amazing, can’t explain how good it was honestly!
Great socialising environment, definitely would recommend for anything from a causal meal, work dinner, first date to a birthday. Get around this place!

Started well with our starters served quickly, then had to ask after an hour if they forgot our mains, by then no one was hungry. The mains were not good, will probably not go back.

Alex the bartender was very friendly and accommodating. He made a great fruit tingle cocktail. Very pretty! Thank you

Good schnitzel with mushroom gravy, chips were really good. Great value on $15 schnitzel night with the size of it!

Great food at a great location, in the Bistro downstairs. First time visitor and enjoyed the ambiance, BUT did notice, from the time we stepped through the door the Staff Culture, from the waitress and bar staff was on the 'Passive Aggressive' side, rather than a warm welcoming side.maybe the the new Customer Service standard for the 20-30 year old staff these days, where the Customer is not the priority, but have not experienced this attitude at other venues, with Staff in this age group.yeah, maybe a Management, or Manager Cultural thing, that has crept into the culture of this venue. A little disappointing, with the Star rating marked down to reflect the low Customer Service standard, that did not match the quality of the food and location setting. FYI, there is no Keno or Lotto available here also.

Last week I had the Mediterranean chicken was absolutely wonderful. Today I had the roast pork with crispy potatoes. It was awful. There were no crispy potatoes it was small potatoes in their skins. The chutney on the pork was not nice the Yorkshire pudding is the worst I have ever had soft and stodgy. Give this a miss

Went for a drink with friends, nice atmosphere on the foreshore, easy parking, friendly staff, reasonable prices, looking a little dated perhaps?
