OTR Bordertown

Absolute disgrace. Took ages to get served, then once I was served, the chicken chilli strips were that dry, I could have broken a tooth on them. The coffee was half cold and tasteless. So very disappointing

Great servo with a Subway and snacks and everything you need for a stopover. Big bonus points for having an enclosed grassy dog park with fresh water - that was a lifesaver on a hot day! Perfect place to stop for a refuel & lunch when travelling with a dog. Was busy when we got there around lunch time, so yeah, service was a bit slow, but nothing worth knocking off a star for. Will definitely stop here again next time.

This is one to avoid unless you want a long rest from travelling, service is slow, no dedicated counter for fuel, can find yourself stuck in queue for too long while others order coffee or food.
We got coffee for takeaway, the cup lids are the worst I have come across, a small tab bent back to drink, not user friendly.
Perhaps they need to put more staff on and have separate area for fuel payment. We actually started at one til in a queue, when we were one person from service we were waived away to the other til which was occupied only to be sent back to the first til.
Next time we will go into town.

I am unsure why there’s so many bad reviews here. I went on a relatively busy day with my family of 6 and the service was amazing! They were pretty fast, but the main thing was the staff were so kind, in a good mood, and so helpful! I love this OTR and we will stop here again.

Three stars because although the drinks fridges were near empty and the staff were SLOWWWWW, the toilets were surprisingly clean and that’s entirely unusual for an OTR store where the toilets normally have a pungent stale piss odour and look as though they haven’t been cleaned since the early 2000s.

New and fresh with all the mod cons. As a family man I like the play ground as a trucky was disappointed to hear the kitchen closed at 10: 30 other food still available pies ect. Staff were friendly but not enthusiastic. Showers laundry and extra points to otr for having an enclosed dog run

Poor service, lazy staff. I reccomend you take the extra minute drive into Bordertown it self, some beauitful spots to stop and much better food (not that that's hard).

The WORST service station I have ever visited!
Absolutely discustingly dirty staff are slow and incompetent at making a simple coffee to order. In the 15 minutes I was there I was left appalled at the behaviour of staff complaining that they had to even serve customers! Providing your own cups for coffee is a major inconvenience to staff, making coffee in cardboard cups to then tip into your keep cup with a loud huff to demonstrate your inconvenience to her day. I would hate to visit this store if it was busy if that is the attitude on a quiet sunday afternoon. Never stop here.

Another build it and they will come, struth it was busy, anyhoo, bp with ad blue, heaps of parking, truckies lounge, subway etc

Poor customer service, long wait to get subs from subway & for coffee. Very rude staff member at the counter. Toilets dirty. Poor maintenance. Very disappointing

No bread at all at the subway, staff disgracefully incompetent. Wait in line for 20 minutes to be told eftpos has been down all day. Not a single clean table. Disgusting service.

By far the worst subway in South Australia. If you would like to spend 30 minutes of your day waiting in line to get served while there was 2 veryyy slow workers making the subways and their team leader who needs to learn how to smile was just standing at the register watching them work with her arms crossed not helping at all when there was a line of about 7 or so people.

Bordertown Subway should consider re-training their staff about customer service and how to prioritise the line and work efficiently in order to reduce the extremely long wait time.

Service is a bit slow as they seem understaffed. There may be a short wait if they're busy. But the new place is clean and tidy and looks good! There's an okay range of food. Coffee's not bad if you get an extra shot, like a lot of coffee in SA. Excellent petrol bowsers that are easy to use. Staff still finding their rhythm, maybe.

Dead cockroaches under the food tables, everything was filthy. Tables outside like like they've not been cleaned for weeks. Should not be allowed to serve food here.

Brought a hamburger and a chicken schnitzel burger from here, both were missing things off of them and the hamburger patty was as hard as a rock and really dry.
Not a good experience.

Poor service as wait was too long. They serve good main meals but it takes like 20-30mins. Coffee also not that good

Avoid food and toilets at all cost and only get fuel if your desperate. Need better management or shut down the place. Overpriced and arragant male staff member.

We stopped at Bordertown OTR for an early breakfast. The staff were so kind and helpful and I couldn't get over how clean the place was! Thank you so much!
