Oakbank Hotel reviews
49Steak perfect medium rare. Had prawns in sauce on top of the steak. Salad was very nice. Staff very good. Sat outside and grand kids had a great time playing.
Very Good Chicken Schnitzel and burger. Good local wine list from Adelaide Hills. Fast friendly service
In my opinion currently the best steak house in SA, won't break the bank, fantastic sauces and sides. Atmosphere is very relax and casual
Good steak as advertised but not cheap. As long as you are prepared to pay appropriately for a quality cut of meat. If you see my other reviews the steak here beats the pants off a fancy Adelaide CBD steak restaurant.
Chips are good and the kids meals come out super quick, oh and the kids nuggets are the bomb too! Cos you know, nugs are life!
Garden setting out the back is great on a summer day too, anyone for Bocce? !
Excellent food and great service. Can get very busy on Saturday's so worth calling ahead to book a table. Ribs are outstanding, and Tuesday night all you can eat ribs is something else. Definitely recommend.
Decided to come here for our anniversary.
Sat down and ordered our food to be told that the only Glutten free option was not available.
It was not written anywhere on the menu.
The girls at the front were rude and couldn't care less and did not apologize.
We had to leave.
I will.never set foot in here again.
We have going once a year every year in June to have all you can eat ribs, we are a large group of 20. This year there was a huge decline in service, they were slow to co.e back and ask if we wanted more and they were reluctant to get us more. The first lot of ribs were dry and chewy.
A lovely spot. We wanted a light lunch and had a great selection of spring rolls, sliders, arancini balls & fantastic chips. They hit the spot with a nice point of Mismatch Session Ale on tap.
Great service, really fast ordering, about 10 minutes from order to food. Definitely get a booking though, it’s always full
Very disappointed to find they were not pet friendly. We were out for a Sunday drive. Stopped at the pub thinking it would be lovely for lunch. Beautiful out door area, but we had our little furnabies with us. Enquired about being pet friendly and advised strictly no. Sorry Oakbank, not likely to try again. Uraidla Hotel was awesome with welcoming out pets, providing a perfect delicious meal, outdoor fire keeping us warm and awesome entertainment. No doubt we will take friends back there to URAIDLA HOTEL. Get with the times Oakbank. Pet friendly is the way to go.
So glad we decided to go for a country drive. Stopped here for lunch which was about 2: 30. A pub that does all day dining is such a great idea.
Great choices of places to sit and the steaks were delicious.
Couldn't fault the place
Enjoyed a meal with friends.
Excellent pub atmosphere and the food was great! I had 9 inch yiros pizza.delicious!
Staff were a little stand-offish. A lot of people turning up all at once, but the drinks were cold and the location was nice.
Old style pub with Wifi available and plenty of places to sit. Kitchem closed at 2pm on a Friday was a little wierd for a Victorian. Especially with an extra couple of hundred people in town looking for food.
I went here with my family for my birthday, was very excited for weeks. The experience was so bad I was laughing at the end of it. My "rare" $42 Ribeye was cooked well done. My salad which I thought might be the only thing left to save the meal, had 4 dead bugs in it before I decided to just stop eating the meal. This has been the most disappointing experience of my life.
The service from some of the staff was lovely. The steak was AMAZING and the rest of the food was lovely. It was a random, unplanned stop at the Oakbank Hotel, but we definitely did not leave disappointed. The only thing that we could fault was that the steak knife could use some sharpening, other than that, it was a really nice experience all round.
4th time we've been, tonight we took 4 family members, superb as usual. All meals are huge, tasty and immensely satisfying, there is no way you will ever walk out hungry, no matter what size your appetite.
The staff are super friendly and appreciative of all custom, every visit is a fun experience.
First time we have gone there. Lovely location and hotel with great service and really good food
Never been here before but the reviews looked pretty good.
The entrees were great and the service was good but.
Before entrees were finished the mains came out to be served. We sent them back.
We finished the entrees but then waited 10 minutes for the table to be cleared.
The mains arrived but because they had sat for so long they were totally overdone.
The comunnication between waiting staff and kitchen seriously needs to be improved.
Would not return!
The jalapeno and cheese balls are awsome. The ribs were tender and very tasty. If i was to complain about anything it would be that the sauce for the ribs was a little to sweet. But that's me. Overall definitely recommend a visit. Great service.
Steaks were very good and cooked well.
The schnitzel and vegetables (piece of cabbage and zucchini), was small and underwhelming. Salads were also small but OK. No bread of any type (garlic, herb or plain).
Enjoyed the sweets, Belgium chocolate ice
cream on waffle.
