Great food and quick service. Ordered a beef burger which was very generous serving for only $6.90. Not oily at all like many other burgers. Service was quick and friendly - be aware of the credit card surcharge.

Great place to stop for something to eat, a real old school fish n chip shop vibe to the place.

I will never visit that place due to unprofessional staff their services and behaviour is not good with customers.

Had a lamb yiros. Nice traditional flavours, waiting time incredibly long for very few customers and the meal size is very small. For the meal size alone, i wont pay that much again.

I love the food and service here. I ordered an AB and it is always delicious i have never had one better. The store itself doesn't look great on the inside.

The OG greasy spoon. Had some drinks? Get a yiros, hungover? Get an AB (HSP if your one of those eastern state snobs) 10/10 always a good time, pretty sad they don't do deep fried Snickers anymore though.

Can never go wrong with a lamb AB here! Chips are crunchy and perfectly salted. The lamb is beautifully grilled and the awesome combination of sauces complete the meal. Staff are always friendly, no matter what time of day you're there! We ordered the $25 lamb AB for two people and we were both stuffed! Good value and definitely hits the spot.

I finally found a place that gets.fish burger just the way I like. I have eaten here before and the other things on the menu were good too. The man that served me was polite and smiley. The tables were clean and the atmosphere was relaxing, safe and hygienic.

If I could rate it with negative stars I would. I visited this shop for the 1st time with 3 other mates each and everyone of us had a bite or 2 and threw it in the bin. The prices on there menu do not match what u pay st the counter. 100%Terrible food and shop

Been going here forever, if you're an Adelaidean, you'd know this is THE place to go for fantastic yiros and chips, especially late at night/early morning.

Has been here for as long as I can remember and hopefully will stay! Always had friendly staff and good quick service.

Would recommend trying the combo AB if you've never had one before, they do great ones here!

Brought my lovely missus here for a job interview.
Nearly took her straight home after I heard about old grumpy.

Just left the place, great Yiros and excellent AB combo. A word for Jack, the person who served us.
My wife and I were not sure about what to get, he saw that and he gently explained to us the place was established long ago, there were some original recipes made in house and suggested us what to order. I tought he was one of the owners, turned out he's a simple employee, but I really hope for the place he's going to get promoted soon, the guy is a gem. Tidy, good smile, great seller without being pushy, he knows how to get the customer's trust. Working in the same industry, I highly appreciate these traits.

Okay so they haven't changed the decor since the 70's but it really doesn't matter. They have mastered the art of delicious chips and yiros meat. At 3am in the morning after a night out on the town, this will be the best intoxicated decision you've ever made.

Food tasted good, would have been great if it was all there. Ordered a yiros with an additional cost of cheese ($1.50) which was not add. Also ordered a $20 BA which was more like $5.00 worth. Disappointed, not going to return anytime soon.

Good food for those late night eats. Often open until after midnight I would recommend "the original AB" as the perfect meal for anyone that feels a bit tipsy after a big night.

The best lamb yiros and chips in Adelaide and their home made Chicken salt is to die for.
I always ask for my chips well done and Crispy and the Owner BILL.cooks them to perfection.
There are video games to play while you wait for your order to be cooked or phone your order through so you don’t have to wait.

Place is dirty and unhygienic, tables and chairs wobbly and filthy, and the food gave my dad salmonella. Maybe you shouldn’t leave the meat on the stick over night?

Got introduced to this place by a local last year and have made a point of going there for an ab anytime I'm over in Adelaide from Melbourne. Absolutely delicious and puts Melbourne's HSP's to shame.
