Waited for 30 minute for chips only. Old man was preparing chips and I asked him after 20 minute how long time he will take more. He replied do you want your food half cooked? If you want then you can take your food.he was so rude I just asked him nicely.customer service is not good? Chips looked so oily too.do not recommend this place.they do not deserve even single star of rating.

This is a place go-to for a great AB. This local SA business has been running since my highschool years (04-08). The quality of AB never changed.

I visited here in March 2023. First off, the decor is very tired and in dire need of an update. Everything appears to be covered in a thin layer of grease. I ordered a steak sandwich and it took ages to come out. It also tasted like yiros meat which means they aren’t cleaning the grill properly. I won’t be back.

If you're happy to wait 22 minutes for one serve of chips, it's okay. If you're not, then totally not worth it. Would not go back, it was quiet at the time and took 4x longer than expected. Chips were dry.

It’s definitely one of the best supper places in Adelaide. We love the Lamb AB. The chips are fried perfectly!

In today's rising economy, one cannot expect much from a fish and chip shop for a low price. This shop however, beats all odds in that department. Only the most delicious hot chips with chicken salt for a decent price. That's hard to come by with how expensive everything is nowadays! Keep it up!

It is what it is. Not clean. Low grade food. And at 12pm you get what you get if the place was more clean and organised proberly more customers.

This little gem of a place makes a wicked AB, plenty of gravy on the chips and gravy, potato fritters are crunchy but soft in the middle and damn the hamburger with the lot is perfect.

Well priced.
Lovely experience.

~~Patty, Egg, Bacon pieces (so you don't end up pulling half of the Bacon out in one mouthful), melted cheese with lots of flavour, tomato, lettuce, your choice of cooked or raw onion (this matters to me a lot as most places are standardly raw and I dislike raw onion but love it cooked), a couple sauces. Pineapple may be added (which I did and it made for the perfect balance of all the bold flavours).

Been here a few times recently the yiros are just the best around. Fast friendly service to boot.

Perfect when i’m desperate for a feed after a night shift, owner is LOVELY and is very accommodating when i’m being picky and running late

Worts burger place ever. Walked in the old man was cleaning the table and floor and I made my order him straight away started making the burger, no washing hands or gloves at all doesn’t care about the hygiene disgusting and I took out a long hair from in the burger. Not recommended at allllll

Took abit long for my order of chips and gravy but only coz he was working alone and hadnt made the gravy yet.

Very friendly service always prefer to eat if i don’t have enough time.very fast service and staff are wonderful always happy and friendly

I ordered meat combo meat pack, it was a very small portion according to the price and very salty and oily, also they haven’t gave any fork or spoon to eat. Ao I will never order from this again and not recommending to anyone.

I ordered schnitzel chips and gravy
It came up and chich is like rubber and crunchy like plastic
I get back to sales person Jack and he said if you didn't like food that's fine we can't do any thing as we are employee.
They said they told their boss about food quality but he doesn't care
And interested thing their roast chicken is from Costco.
They don't cook in house.
Shot place to eat and they challenge they arecheap but even one happy to pay extra for food quality.

I've been frequenting here (& the 'other' well known Cafe a few doors up) for at least 30 - 35 years, they are extremely consistent, you know that everytime you eat here the food will be good quality, fresh & tasty. They make the BEST non charcoal yiros in Adelaide & they are open until VERY late every night

For the price of the meal that I purchased the portion I was given didn't reflect the price. Have to say I wasn't that impressed. Although I was thankful there was something open late at night I won't be going back again.

Been a fan of this place for ages, however i found a staple and also a metal filing in my AB I ordered off Uber eats. Not sure what happened with it but I'd gotten mostly through the meal when I found it (AB tasted great as always). I work in hospitality so i understand that mistakes happen and all that but this could have been pretty bad if i had swallowed either of them. Pictures not great but it's the two pieces I found

Not many places come to mind these days when thinking of the good old classic Australian takeaway shop. This place is fantastic.
