Nirala Indian Cuisine

Not the best experience, only ordered naan bread and it was burnt and one of the worst I've had.

Used to enjoy the food but after the last couple orders being wrong and receiving the wrong items I won't be back.

Delivery took over 1 hour and when the lady arrived she honked her horn (guess her knees couldn't hold her weight to get out of her car to knock on the door like a proper customer service focused person), then when she finally got to the door she opened my screen door and tried to open the front door itself! Luckily it was locked so I could grab my pets before I opened the door, I asked her what she was doing but she just handed over the food and left.

Previously have had delivery through this restaurant and they've been great, however takeaway is useless. At 16: 20 today I ordered and paid for food using one of their websites, with the restaurant confirming at 16: 25 that the food would be ready for collection at 17: 10.

Arrived 17: 10, and no staff was available to speak with me until 17: 20 at which point I was advised my food would be just a couple more minutes.

At 17: 40 with zero further presence of staff in front of house, one came out to answer a call - when she was off the phone I explained I would like to cancel my order. Staff member advised my food was almost ready, and she'd check for me. At 17: 50 without any staff having returned to front of house, I left without my food - don't appreciate this business wasting 40 minutes of my time, and will be disputing the credit card charge.

There was a maximum of one other customer at the location during this period.

Won't be returning here, which is disappointing.

Ridiculous service. Lost our take away order and when finally arrived tried to overcharge me by $5 then started to argue with me infront of the other people now waiting for their takeaway over the cost, even though I had the order still up on my phone with the price. The only saving grace is the food is good because the service is terrible. Should of gone to Mr India in Old Reynella 5 mins down the road.

Got take away tonight and it was abysmal in pretty much every way. First of all we waited for 45 minutes for a take away order. Then the rice was extremely watery, the naan was undercooked, the chicken was mostly gristle and quite clearly microwaved, and the absolute sheer amount of oil was absolutely horrible. If I could rate this any lower I would.

Took 20 minutes after being seated to get order taken, very slow service.
Only one waitress on having to do everything. Definitely would benefit from having another person. I understand saving money for business but this has put me off ever ordering in or takeaway.
Food was average, not bad but not worth the time.
Hopefully they make changes to benefit their business and customers

Could have been an off night, but took 15 mins to take the order, and another 10 mins to deliver a bottle of wine. Only 5 other people in the restaurant. Food was ok

YES! Am Loving the food at Nirala! Thanks for serving my favourite Vege dishes Saag Paneer a highlight. Also appreciating being able to set the level of spice and that being listened to. Delivery always as requested and my coupons which encourage me to try new dishes. Just wanted to say thanks Karen

Have been going for a few years now, but last 2 times i noticed the beef was corned beef, not as nice, doesnt fall apart. Probably cheaper to buy. I rang last week and said the chef said he wouldn't get that beef anymore, so i asked before i put $60 order in to check. She came back and said they didn't have any beef? , so they lost that order, went elsewhere. Also found it to be not very clean on entering, even when covid was at its fullest. Floors never look clean, door etc, even just after opening, which you think you would clean before opening for the night. Probably won't be back and we used to order once a month.

Having dinner at Nirala restaurant and couldn't stop myself to post my review on the table. So delicious food.

Ordered entree, chicken wings, currys and nan breads. Nothing was hot or fresh. Very disappointed and we wouldnt go back. Our date nigt was expensive and not enjoyable at all.

Received Burnt Naan Bread, Was told the order would be ready in 15 minutes drive down there to be seated for 15 minutes. Meaning the food was either already cooked and sitting for 30 minutes or it was cooked on arrival. Received 10% of order online and then in the shop on the front counter 25% off is advertised through another app. They present on the counter a gift card (Loyalty Program) as well for when you order a certain amount of meals you receive a free one. Asked if we could receive a stamp for our card because we ordered 4 curries and was refused. Because we had already received 10% off. I didn't ask about the 25% off difference advertised on the counter. Doesn't seem fair to me. We were not even greeted until after 15 minutes of waiting.

I wont be back and likely this place will not survive 3 years, most likely a LLC privately trading entity and they will just keep changing their name /address rinse & repeat. Typical place taking advantage of lower socioeconomic profiles in the south and most people wouldn't even know it.

The food would have been better had the service been better but it left a sour taste in my mouth. & I don't enjoy paying top dollar for less than top food (burnt food) or service. 20/09/20

I was not going to argue with the front of house team member, it is what it is but at least perhaps I can save other people the hassle of having the experience I had. I don't know perhaps it is a decent place I wont know because I wont be back for a second serve of burnt naan. Pretty sure the garlic naan had turmeric on it and no garlic lol.

Received a piece of chicken the size of my palm hand that was pretty cool though!

Food tasted the same as any other general curry shop.

Their chicken vindaloo is the best from many places I had all over Adelaide! I order atleast once every week! The taste is consistent! Thanks guys! Good luck!

Just I would say, Unprofessional staff, with no value of time. I would not recommend this place to any one, pathetic service.

Great food, the local community should support this restaurant more, food 100% and friendly. Priced rights, quick service and more than happy to please you.

Not sure we made the best choice by going here on a Friday that happened to be Valentine's Day without a reservation. While we got a table fairly quickly, the 1.25 hr wait for the food wasn't worth it.

The samosas were hot but the stuffing was just boiled potatoes without much flavouring.

The mains were palak paneer and dal makhni. I am not sure how but both the gravies tasted the same! The dal had no butter or creamy and both the dishes were lacking salt.

The breads were average, doughy and raw around the ends.there were people waiting for a take away well over an hour and I felt sorry for them. Can't speak for them but we won't be going back.

Service is very slow, but well worth the wait! It's only because they're so busy with online and phone orders, and could do with another server.
