New India Restaurant

The place was clean, and the owner was super friendly! The food is great and the owner Gopal took care of each customer individually. Highly reccomended! Just ordered the chicken vindaloo, but will definitely be back for more.

Curries had lovely flavour profiles, serves were generous & dishes were all piping hot. Service was a bit sour on arrival which was off putting. Restaurant was suitably clean with indian decor, not much of an atmosphere though. Best part of the meal was the entree, juicy chicken & raita was lovely, naan very nice. 3 stars would have been improved to 4 if the service was friendly overall.

Very nice food and a proper curry. Very tasty. Can reccomend the Kadai.
Brilliant service and the chef/owner came to speak with us.
We asked for roti without oil and it was delicious as was the garlic naan and pickles for popadums. House red wine was delicious aswell.
Also reasonably priced.
Highly recommend this restaurant.

Everything was perfect.
We were group of 18. We ordered chicken curries, veg curries and naan, rotis. Service, quality of food, quantity of food, ambience was excellent. Owner also gave us a discount considering large group. Go for it.

The food was tasteless! There was no seasoning in any curries. The service was good and the staff were friendly. Wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Their chicken biryani was extremely flavourful and their lassi was delicious, but the woman who is at the counter really needs to stop sulking and smile more. Or else, don't work in F&B.

OMG! The taste is amazing. Best Curry’s I’ve ever had in Adelaide. Especially chicken Tikka Masala

Very impressed with the food. More so than I expected to be. An unassuming restaurant with friendly staff.

The food came fast and it was good, but amount of MSG should be cut down. We were sweating all night and hunger for water.

New India Restaurant at corner of hindley street & morphett street is one of the best Indian Resturant in Adelaide. You can class their food to be the no 1 in whole of SA. The gravy is pretty well prepared with the meat & seafood really tase the best, even the vegetarian menu has s delicious. I would recommend everyone who loves Indian food should visit this restaurant at least once.

Apparently their “quick lunch” takeaway option actually means it will take 30 mins for them to bring it out, which is laughable considering the shop was empty and the food was microwaved. Food tasted average at best.

This was a great feed! Doesn’t look like much from the outside of the shop but man do they do a good butter chicken! Oh and they split bills and they accept Amex and they’re really friendly!

I’ll be back again for sure. Great job!

Worst Indian curries ever had- the naan bread and roti were fine. Reasonable prices but food lacks flavours. Ordered palak paneer and bhuna dish;both were absolutely shocking. Waiter was lovely and helpful. Wouldn’t recommend or visit for a very very long time.

Delicious indian food! Glad we found this place in Adelaide because it reminded me of home cooked punjabi food and that's always a win. Forgot to take photos unfortunately (as we were so eager to eat!) but the restaurant has a nice vibe with gentle music playing. Will be back next time we visit Adelaide!

Prices are extremely reasonable and the food came out in a very reasonable time frame. We ordered the butter chicken and the lamb masala. The naan was amazing - definitely try the garlic naan ;)

#New India Restaurant, Hindley Street Adelaide. Service was great friendly and casual, the food was wonderful tasty, spicy and plentiful great for sharing and cheap would definitely go there again if in Adelaide.

My fam and I just had the most amazing takeaway, ordered through Menulog with delivery, for $49 for 3 people. All the curries we tried were amazing, especially the butter chicken and lamb korma (typical indian.).
Also the Naan is as good as higher priced restaurants.
Worth it for a drop in or t/a.

Good food. Go for the 'spicy' option if you're into that, as the 'medium' has little kick to it. Nice service too.

We ate there a year and a half ago. My ten year old is still talking about it and wants to go back to Adelaide purely so we can eat there again! The food was devine and the staff were just incredible. What a delight. Thank you.

The samosas are best in the city!
It would be awesome if you had a spicy sauce option with the samosas!
