Such an incredible pasta special I had and they accommodated to make it vegan! So delicious!

Lovely place with abundance of pastries, nice breakfast and lunch menu. I was pleased with the kangaroo breakfast item they had also their carrot cake and obviously the essential coffee. Would recommend.

As a fellow worker at plant 4, every time I eat here it never disappoints. Always lovely service, amazing food and I always end up trying something I’ve never had before:) also the Paddington crumpets are to DIE for I wish I could go back and relive the moment I tried one for the first time they’re so so good.

Most of the time their food is delicious Exceptionally well combined and cooked. Great ideas, fresh produce and excellent chef/cook. Friendly staff, good service - all very good. Coffee Cakes are out of this world especially one with the coffee well done guys.

As soon as i walked in i was met by hostile stares from a person with curly haired and a bald spot on the back of they're head. This person would take a combative stance with they're body language. I was going to sit inside and enjoy my coffee but as this person glared at me a lot and seemed inconvinienced by my presence i chose to sit in the open dining area of plant 4.
This person also barged many elderly patrons and other workers out of they're way with no seeming thought or concern if the patrons or workers of plant 4 had mobility issues.
I'm quite disgusted at the last encounter as i brought my glass back i was met with a stare of disgust and offensiveness. Even though i only said very little and chose to smile through my experience, i was met with subtle ques of hostility

Located inside Plant 4. A small cafes with good coffee and some very nice and original brekky options. Nice service and good staff.

Love the ethos of My Grandma Ben. Lots of house made preserving, pickling and fermenting. Excellent quality good and good coffee. It's busy but the service is prompt. Recommended.

Great workshop learning about Pickles and the processes and combinations available. The girls were really informative and clearly passionate about what they do. My pickles turned out really well. Awesome value for money and a lovely way to spend time with a friend or two, while learning a new skill. I'll do another one. Follow up email with the notes from the class was also appreciated.

Sometimes the chilli cardamom hot chocolate is really nice and sometimes it’s just too spicy.

Beautiful little cafe serving delicious food and coffee. The service was amazing, waitress was very attentive, despite a little wait on both food and coffee, they did make us aware of that before ordering. Was a little disappointed with my porridge as there was a full ring of butter on the top. The flavours were great but unfortunately the amount of fat (see picture for reference) kind of ruined it. The coffee was good.

My Grandma Ben is nestled away in a beautiful, reimagined industrial hall, in Plant 4. The ambience is incredible, with the smells and sounds of the hall providing a wonderful atmosphere for which to dine. The coffee experience was good, but found service to be wanting.

Service was excellent, food was complex and fresh and delicious, and the space was cosy and cute. A fab brunch spot.

Healthy, wholesome food.which tastes great too! Good coffee, a nice glass of wine and excellent service. A relaxing eatery within Plant 4 where one can watch the passing parade of customers throughout the complex.

My Grandma Ben’s is located inside Plant 4. They have a small seating area of their own inside the cafe however don’t be worried, you have all of Plant 4’s seating available. They have plenty of yummy options to choose from but my favourite has the be anything to do with the Roo Bolognaise and their crumpets! They don’t do take away coffee but will fill up your own keep cup. Be warned they only have a small kitchen and on a weekend they are very popular so be prepared to wait but the wait is worth it!

Yum! Really unique menu and delicious. Very interesting crafty warehouse venue. Would recommend for brunch!

We had a great brekkie at My Grandma Ben's at Bowden this morning, at a civilised hour of 9am. We began with excellent coffee ranging from a piccolo to skinny caps to an iced latte. We then took a while to make up our minds what to order - plenty of choices without being bombarded by the usual standard cafe breakfast menu, which this menu wasn't. My choice was fruit toast which was superb, the best I have eaten for some time. Plenty of moist fruit and large pieces of fresh walnuts were in the fruit bread which had been toasted and served with a small side dish containing butter and home made marmalade. Our friends enjoyed other choices from the breakfast menu which included perfect soft eggs on toasted sourdough and scrambled eggs on sourdough. The fourth choice which looked delicious was the egg and bacon roll, clearly enjoyed by our friend as the conversation was on 'pause' while he ate his breakfast. Apologies to the readers of this review for not posting any photos as we were all enjoying our food so much I didn't stop to take any. Next time - as I'm sure we'll go again.
The atmosphere was very relaxing for a Saturday morning breakfast. We sat outside on chairs at 2 tables under an umbrella in between to Plant 4 and Plant 3 Bowden, fresh air, not noisy, we could hear ourselves talk, it really was a lovely atmosphere.
We all agreed it was a great spot for breakfast and a catch up with good friends. We could not fault the service, the staff were all cheerful, very efficient and no sign of how very busy they were at that time.

What a wonderful warm environment to be in. Very accommodating and was served by a beautiful kind human called Jordan, she was so delightful to interact with. The food was delicious, had the Sanga recommended and the coffee was up to my “Melbourne standard”.

The rest of the team was also lovely!
