Muqam Uyghur Restaurant reviews
40 Terrible experience, will never come back.
The taste of the food is below average.
Service is terrible. The female owner is very rude. We had a jug of yogurt with 4 glasses, then we asked for table water and 4 more glasses for the water, she said no and told us one person can only have one glass.
She refused to provide the tax invoice which is illegal and used “we have never provide tax invoice to customers” as excuse. This is ridiculous!
No wonder we are the only customers in this restaurant on a Friday night dining time.
Went to order some kababs. They were not interested in cooking it as it's too much work for them to cook 5 skewers. Finally lady in front agreed to cook if we were happy to wait 30 minutes which we were OK with. Then chef told her that he was not going to cook. If it's too much work for them, then why don't remove it from menu as wasted our time and theirs too.
Just watched as the male owner made a customer of the pizza shop move their car because he wanted his wife to have the first carpark in front of his shop. He didn't even say thank you to the girl, just knocked on her window and made gestures for her to move while his wife tooted her horn. All evildoers plenty of other carparks were available in the carpark. Absolutely arrogant owners and I will be telling everyone to never order from you!
A wonderful find. The food seems to be a fusion of Chinese, Turkish and Greek. Slowly I am making my way through the menu and am always happy with the cuisine.
Customer service was very blunt. Lady serving us was very cold, not smiling at all the whole time. Vibe of the place was very dull, decor was very minimal, mismatched & broken chairs. Food was average, tasted like a quickly whipped together home meal, not restaurant standard. Only positive i can say was that the lamb kebab flavour was very authentic, though the meat was chewy.
This place is terrible. The woman barely spoke and was very rude. As she and her husband cooked the meal they were coughing and sneezing everywhere.
I had the dumplings, they were served in a boiling hot bowl of soup, were rock hard and tasted like dirt.
My partner had the noodles, they were ok except for the vegetables which tasted like plastic and the meat which was not fresh.
Bad customer service and food is not tasty. I feel such disappointed about this restaurant, I had a really bad experience and would not come to this place never ever again
Frugal settings. Some dishes were nice but others overcooked and drown in sauce. Husband and wife team. They were reserved and took time to warm up to strangers (customers).
We had lamb bun, lamb skewers and stir fried noodles. They were so so SOOOOO good. Don't let the decor of the place fool you. The taste of the food is amazing!
Traditional, the lamb cake is juicy inside with crispy layer outside. The owner said the noodles was homemade and it’s very chewy, definitely will go again.
Been to this place a couple of times now with friends and we will definitely be going more. The food is fresh and very authentic flavours. Our favourites are the spicy chicken with handmade noodles and lamb with herbal fungus, was soo good. Service is very friendly, makes you feel welcomed
Really liked the food here.their fried rice was to die for.place could be a bit neater and service a bit faster.i'd definitely go back a second time though
Really authentic uyghur food, same standard quality every time we go, love the kebab and big plate chicken.
One of my favourite uyghur restaurants in Adelaide. Been there twice and really love it. Ordered Nahn bread stir fry lamb is the best we’ve tried. Lamb skewers are juicy and chewy. Service lady is very nice and polite. This is only 3 mins drive from where I live. Definitely will go again
A small restaurant, minimal decor. Ordered chilli chicken and braised lamb with Nan bread. Portion sizes were decent however the taste and the price could have been a lot better. Service was not very friendly and absent for most of our lunch even though we were the only table. Pricey at around $50 for two people without any drinks.
One of my favourite places to go for dinner. Food is delicious, great serving sizes and low prices. My Russian family loves going here for a bite to eat - we always order way too much food but it's too good not to finish!
Traditional food and lovely service.
The restaurant is quaint and the lady running the shop was very pleasant and gave a brief history on Muqam food and culture.
Doesn't matter what time or day they always have room for people without a reservation even on new year's eve
Always excellent service and awesome food and great value for money
they also say at their front door their "meals are big why not share"
Quickly and efficiently.
Highly recommended.
Delicious and well priced for massive serves. Friendly home style service. I would highly recommend the naan bread and lamb. Delicious and the homemade spicy noodles.
Very homely and prices are very fair! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, actually our 1st experience of Uyghur cuisine. It really felt like we were sitting in our nana's kitchen. Lovely vibe, good service, great food. Highly recommend the kebabs!
