Mums Beard Cafe

If your looking for a nice place to go for a meal, mum's beard is the place to go. Mum's beard has a wonderful vibe and lovely staff. The food is absolutely fantastic and coffee was delicious, not to mention the latte art was spectacular!

I love it here as the atmosphere is great. Which says alot for most places in Victor where its boring.

I love the Lounge near the Fireplace. Great idea.

Also the staff are super friendly, and seeing the owners working with staff is great. Love that the owners are hands on. Super friendly with a positive attitude towards life.

Hands down one of the best cafes I’ve ever been to, food was incredible, staff was so kind that you feel like going to your family’s, not only good portions but delicious and so gorgeous that you feel bad eating it, coffees were good and pretty too, if there was 6 stars I’d give them 7 The breakfast platter was so generous and definitely the Beard? ‍️ Queen of Breakfast, 100% recommended (unfortunately not photo of that one, i got too excited)

Awesome Cafe with an excellent vibe. From the outside you wouldn’t expect it to be so big inside with plenty of seating. Indoor fireplace makes a nice, warm atmosphere. Food was delicious, I had a beetroot salad. Will definitely go again when next in Victor Harbour.

Really wanted to love this place. Walked into the bar area and met this awesome bartender who told us about some upcoming events and was lovely. Then went into the restaurant and wasn’t even said hello to. Walked up to the counter and was then asked if I wanted a a table. There was this bad kind of attitude from all three of the waitresses, especially the older one. We sat down and ordered our meals. My wine had floating fibres in it (from a cloth I guess) but they gave me a new one which was nice. However, when the meals arrived one wasn’t what I had ordered but when it did come out the food was great. Overall the experience left me feeling I had wasted my time, it was almost like they couldn’t be bothered serving us which was sad as the venue looked incredible and I spent $75.

Great staff and all wearing the same attire. And we found the food to be different, it has a uniqueness about it, not seen to much in Victor, so plenty of ticks for The Chef. The place is large, so there are many tables, as well as the outdoor dining. It has a homely feel and is very clean, with beautiful restrooms. Prices are reasonable, but as i say if the food is tasty and plenty of it then it's worth every cent. My wife and i live in Victor, we have been here some 20 years, so we have eaten in all the places that have come and gone over those years. I think Mums Beard is here to stay. The only slight issue is car parking. The parking area is very small, but that's a tiny hiccup, once you enter and taste their delights. We will be definitely adding this to the top of our dining out list for eateries, and can't wait till we go again, a must for all.

Had a great meal tonight.
Snuck in at 7.45 and had a choice of tables.
Have to say the staff tonight were awesome. Some of the friendliest and happy staff we've experienced. What they didn't know about the menu they were more then happy to find out.
Nice food. Great vibe.
Hope we can enjoy outside next time we come.

Great service, friendly staff, yummy food. Loved the cockle train going past. And the fresh sea breeze.

Exceptional customer service from well trained staff. My wife and I only stopped in for coffee which was made to our liking.
The location alongside the railway line in an old masonic hall that has been refitted expertly into a Cafe restaurant adds to the experience.
I have booked in for a meal next time.

Excellent food, prompt and friendly service. Good value. A number of my friends and myself found the background music unnecessarily loud! This seriously detracts from ambience of your restaurant. Otherwise first class!

A fabulous dinner and drinks with family visiting from Queensland. Great location and our waitress Tara was awesome and definitely contributed positively to the vibe of our night. We are certainly grateful that she spoke so highly of the fish that was thoroughly enjoyed by one of our interstate visitors! The platter was great, as was the burger. We will be back!

Cute looking place. Found it unusual that you could not get breakfast past 11am on a weekend and that at the time we visited (11.15) the kitchen was closed until 12.00. I would have ordered food but couldn't. That's a lost opportunity for business. Staff were friendly.

Coffee ok but arrived at 1130 and would have expected to get brunch but only cabinet food available.

Great venue. Friendly staff. Parking close by. Food delicious. Good variety on menu. A little noisy inside but outside beaching seating great relaxing space. Recommend booking.

Just checked out the newest edition to our local dining scene.and WOW! Mum's Beard is a must! Great coffee, Awesome locally made cakes, fantastic decor/atmosphere, and really friendly staff! Do yourselves a Flavour, and get in there! Can't wait to come back for a meal!

Amazing place not a penny spread. Every thing was top quality. Great service and a never ending cappuccino! Has to be one of the biggest coffees around. I had the Beard burger I think it was a had made patty and the bun and pickles where unreal. My 3 year old had the chips and commented straightaway “I like the Rosemary on the Chippies Daddy! ” Would recommend it to anyone can’t wait to go back again and my wife is very jealous she missed out on lunch. The again to the team Baz from Chop It.

Loved this place even though it was a little noisey. Food was fantastic. I had a mixed board and was so enjoyable my friend had the jerk chicken and was delicious. Lovely selection of cakes. We will return. Highly recommend.
