Mums Beard Cafe

We came to your cafe as a new experience today, Sunday, having been intrigued by it each time we visited Victor Harbor. Apparently, you are open until 4pm on a Sunday. So imagine my surprise to be greeted by the sign ‘Sorry we are closed’ at 3.20pm. VERY UNHAPPY! Was there a good reason for being closed? If so, put a sign on the door. This is poor business practice. I used to own a small business and if you advertise something then you must stick to your word. Will we give you another chance? I’m not sure-there are plenty of good, reliable cafes in Victor. Rating: 0/5.

Went to the cafe today which was busy from a marathon that had taken place. While waiting patiently for a table I was ignored overlooked and people behind me were offered service before me. All staff chose to ignore me. I don’t believe this is a cafe that can maintain customer service under pressure.

We were first time visitors here today, and really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for having us, and we'll see you next time!

Stopped in for a takeaway as we were driving through Victor. Friendly service, delicious coffee and a really tasty chicken focaccia. Would love to go back and dine in next time.

I'm very glad to have stopped in for lunch. Had the lady boss burger, great mix in the meat pattie, with the bacon, roasted beetroot, and caramelised onion amongst other fillings.
Atmosphere was terrific and staff very welcoming.

I loved this place! I'd been waiting to go here for a long time, and it did not disappoint! I had eggs benny with salmon, and the different flavours and herbs were so fresh and amazing. Wonderful atmosphere, kind, accommodating staff. I plan to drive back down to Victor soon just to visit. It's worth the hour's drive!

Hands down, one of the best breakfasts I've had. We got the platter for 2 ($60) and my god, it was amazing! Such a cute and quirky Cafe with lots to look at, even the big black steam train stopped right out the back which all the kids loved! Will be back again next time we're in Victor!

A busy morning I understand, but very very slow with table service and coffees then a 15% surcharge for Sunday rates. When tables started to clear service did not improve.
Food was ok

Communicating that things are busy and there is an expected wait time would’ve been appreciated. 45mins for coffee was a bit long, it came after food!

Had lunch here. Cuban sandwich was good but for $24 Customer service was just OK. Uninspiring to say the least.

Love this quirky place. Excellent and helpful staff, great food and very flexible. We go there regularly and chose it to hold a surprise party for a dear 70 year old. Accommodated all our needs and a very successful family event.

This is such a lovely place, visited from the UK with my sister. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, food was amazing and plentiful. Great atmosphere.

There were 15 of us for Breakfast. And it was epic, everything was delicious. I would drive an hour for breakfast again.

Cold staff, and super super slow service
Waited 45 min for a caramel milkshake, cookie and cake!
Coffee is tasty and well made.
Atmosphere is nice and alternative.
Food is ok, small serving and lacking in taste. I had the southern style cauliflower. I have had tastier versions.
On the whole it's an ok place. In saying this I will not return in a hurry.

From the outside it doesn’t look much, but the name caught our attention. Sounded quirky and worth checking out…and so glad we did. Awesome find in VH. Great outdoor deck with shade looking out to the beach, and lots of indoor seating in an eclectic style decor. Very cool!
Coffee and chai was the best we’ve had in VH. It became our daily whilst holidaying here.

Great attention to detail and re-use of the old Freemasons building. Coffee and breakfast roll were especially good. Service could not be faulted.

I've had coffee and lunch before but last night we booked in for dinner with friends. The food and service was great, the wine list is good too:)

I had the vegetarian burger, was great and such a lovely place to eat. The staff were also incredible.

Great Place for relaxing. The coffee is great.

The booths are awesome, allowing me to have a little private work place with my laptop.

One thing that stands out is the Staff. They are always polite and welcoming and so I say well ️
