Market Plaza Food Court reviews
50A bit sad these days, despite a revamp a couple of years ago. Covid and the lack of overseas students meant a huge loss of business for many stall owners. Can still find some good eats here though
I’ve come here and ordered the same thing for years. Hot pot Bulgogi is absolutely delicious and full of flavour. Staff seem nice and friendly too:) eating here always being a smile to my face
If you want to pig out on all sorts of south east Asian food, but have limited budget, go to this place
Love the whole Central Markets experience, but food court prices have steadily increased over the years. Still usually great meals with good portions and friendly staff.
I had chicken curry at the Malaysian food court and would say never again. So expensive almost 15 dollar the plate. Then owner so resourcesful in making profit by using chicken bums and necks in their curry. Then to top it up you get chicken feathers in your curry. Left the plate and walked away. Advice to owner when your price is high in the sky the quality should be good as well as quantity no one is stupid except you that will soon be closing down.
Occasionally I have lunch at the Market Plaza Food Court. Very lively during the early afternoon, so it can be tricky securing a table, but from around 2pm it becomes quieter.
Lately, my go-to stall there is 'My Mum's Kitchen' (好地方). The lady who takes the orders is warm and friendly, while the other lady who is mostly working in the kitchen is always smiling. I think the second lady is Mum?
Pictured is my favourite dish of theirs I have eaten: Mapo tofu, which is also available to eat with noodles. A lot of their dishes are of good quantity for their price.
Very friendly people and large range of different kinds of food from different nationalities. Make sure to bring cash as a lot the shops don't have eftpos.
If you go in here hungry and can't find something you like then there's something wrong with you. My default is Master Huang's Sizzling Satay Chicken. It's amazing.
Always go here whenever i visit central market. Mr Lee (the owner) is a very nice man who continues to make great quality Korean food at affordable prices. Definitely try the bibimbap and kimchi pancakes when you visit.
Variety of Asian foods. Reasonable and good quantity. Crowded for lunch. If your looking for Indian food, then it is not the place. Do get Asian vegetarian food.
This place is always changing, which is cool. But some things never change - the food is still great at most places. The prices may have increased a bit because the management's changed the cleaners and businesses need to clean their own cutlery. Still great here though!
Food is cheap overall, quality therefore also a bit lower. Usually a very popular place, will return.
I came here today after 19 years and it is still the same.great asian food at reasonable price. I used to come here for lunch every Saturday when I lived in Adelaide. This has been a must for tourists and everyone alike for many years.
Terrible. Travelling from interstate and visited upon recommendation. Everything served to us was cold and poor quality. To make matters worse, my partner got food poisoning and we spent the weekend with the doctor. Do not go unless you want to get sick.
Great Asian supermarket, finally found some salted soy that we have been looking for, for a long time and good pricing too
Had an amazing lunch at the Pure Vegetarian/Vegan lunch stall at the Central Market Food Plaza. You get to choose 3 food options, 4 food options or choos everything for about AUD $ 13.5. If you are hungry go for everything and you will love the food. Make sure you get there before 3: 00 PM, they close by 3. If you are there well before then you get more options.
Very clean and so many options to choose from, definitely recommend everyone to come here, the food is also very affordable as well!
Oh my delectable food tastings and the cheeses and fruit are exquisite. As good as thr best in the world.
I adore the markets for a coffee with my girlfriends and sampling gourmet cheeses, highly recommended
It is another world. Like the market plaza the food court have numerous variety of food.
The food court caters for Local people as well as tourists. Food plate varies from Aus$ 8 to 30 depending on the protein. Chinese / Indonesian / Indian / Malaysian / Japanese style food plates are available.
