Marden Charcoal Chicken

FIVE STARS! Third time I’ve came through this month so I have to say something….
The chicken was cooked perfectly, still falling right off the bone, crispy skin… delicious!
My partner had the hamburger with the lot and she couldn’t stop me from the other half. Love the potato fritters and I can’t boast enough over the salads. Absolutely sensational:) Thankyou guys you’re amazing <3

Consistently excellent, crispy chips, yiros are yummy, chicken succulent, fish terrific, fresh, and a good range of salad. The shop is always pristine and the staff is super friendly.the best around

I am always eat from their restaurant.and i like it thanks for them hope they will be always in the same taste

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant, rude, unprofessional and the food was terrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Seems like they live in same place.

Used to be the Best charcoal chicken round! This place has gone downhill rapidly! Chickens are under seasoned in and out! Overcooked on outside and under cooked inside! Overall Tasteless compared to what it was 7 years back, chips are dry overcooked and way overpriced, Salads ok could be better but too expensive!
No longer Value for money, a few more smiles would also lift the customer service experience the standards of this place have hit rock bottom im reluctant to return again the last 5 times have disappointed.

Extremely bad poor quality and servings are pathetic! Just go to the local Vietnamese store and ya will be satisfied

Steak sandwich was overpriced with minimal ingredients.also i think customers would prefer the use of Tongs to grab tomato, cheese, lettuce etc instead of hands

Used to come here weekly, called ahead like usual, told there were chickens cooking. Cool, on my way. By the time I got there they sold all their chickens, didn’t put one aside like they usually do.

Lost a usual customer today, it is what it is.

Chicken roll was disgusting over cooked obviously haven't made one before was dry and crunchy my dog liked it hamburger was OK also had chips and gravy if u can call it gravy was like water and tasteless now I no why there was no one there at 7 pm on a Friday night what a joke

We've been coming to Marden Charcoal for almost 20 years over which time, we've seen a few different owners and the food has been consistently good, until tonight.
Five Butterfish and a large serve of Chips.
Soggy chips with no noticeable salt, and a box of crushed fish which instead of loading flat, were placed in the bag, end first.
Defies belief, and really took the shine off our dinner.

Best tasting chicken I’ve had in a long time, amazing chips and fresh salad. Under new management now. Chicken still great but if you like chicken salt on chips make sure you ask for extra. As they seem to be very light with the salt?

Best chicken shop there is in Adelaide! Quality of food is amazing. Would highly recommend if you haven’t tried. The beef burgers are so tasty and same with the chicken snitzel packs hot dogs, dim sims and potato fritters are also so good. The chicken salt they use is so yummy too. Thanks so much again!

This is my family’s favourite chicken shop. Absolutely amazing. The food is so fresh and tasty down to the chicken salt which is made fresh in store. Haven’t had a chicken shop better then Marden. The chicken snitzel pack with gravy is to die for. The gravy is so nice and has the best flavour as for the succulent chicken that’s perfectly crumbed. 5/5 definitely try it you will be impressed.

We could have just been unlucky, but the food was overpriced for both the quality and quantity.

We got a large boneless chicken pack which inclused chips and grevy. A good portion was given.

Went there Jan. 10, and I have to say was not good at all. Asked for chips with chicken salt.got no salt at all. Also ordered 3 pieces of fish and when I got home about 3 mins away, the fish were just limp pieces of battered fish, no flavour and not crispy batter at all. Geoff

Great staff, they were training but treated the customer and most importantly the trainee with professional advice and guidance.
Having a lunch on Wednesday with friends and going back to get the charcoal chicken and gravy. So easy

The best fish, charcoal chicken and chips I have had in this area. A friendly smiling family running this business. My favourite is the butterfish with a side of chips cooked to ‘crispy’. Recommended.

Hamburger with the lot was just egg and bacon added, no beetroot or pineapple. $11.50 for a $6.50 hamburger, you won't catch me out again.
Very disappointed. Overpriced.

Ordered 3nuggets chips a peice of fish and 4 calamari over the phone. Only got 3 nuggets fish and 2 calamari. Idk if I got charged but clearly someone is incompetent and that's the last time I go out of my way to support a small business when I could of got $2 chips from kfc and chicken for half the price.
