MALOBO Bakery & Terrace Bar reviews
83 Used to come here all the time and progressively it’s worsened.
Coffee order incorrect, took ten minutes and had to listen to the short red haired lady bicker with the baristas. If you’re going to have superior prices maybe consider upping your customer service, I felt more of an inconvenience and couldn’t even be bothered waiting another lord knows how long for them to put my order right.
Friendly staff and clean Cafe. Great menu as there is a great range to choose from.
Coffee = 4/5 ordered a strong small laté
Food = 3/5 Ordered the Beef Burger with Chips. The beef patty was nice and juicy, but the burger itself slightly lacked flavour.
Overall, great place to eat with a view of Henley Beach.
It's lit-up inside with wall decor prints, adds a welcome feeling, along with the plenty-full plates of food served here. Delicious
Lovely location but extremely bland and tasteless food. I had the bowl with sweet potato, rice etc and it was very under seasoned. The sweet potato had absolutely no taste. Very disappointed.
Great stop. Shared a breakfast burrito with hash browns, which was excellent. Service was a little slow but the food and drinks came very quickly. 15% public holiday surcharge. Would come back.
No complaints from our party of 10. Plus the place full too which means they are doing it right.
Great lunch for two, plus smoothies - this time.
Why is there not an option for a 10 star review?
I love love love this place.
Their breakky burrito is just the best breakfast ever. I'll admit, I've probably had a few too many but I have no regrets.
I'm also very fond of the Malobo burger, I mean this thing is like take a bite into something you'd find in New York bar.
I've never had a bad meal or a poor experience.
Even when they are under the pump the staff are friendly and bubbly.
If breakky is your think then do yourself a favour and try this place. You'll thank me later.
The food was faultless, however some of the staff there including the manager who was on duty had terrible customer service. We sat at 2 tables that were joined for 4 people comfortably. I got up to get some menus, my partner was still sitting at the table. The duty manager came up and grabbed the table while he was sitting at it and dragged it away and said we didn’t need two tables, and squashed 4 of us on a small table. No apology, just a foul faced angry manager who shouldn’t be in her position. I also asked one of the staff members to please clean the table and her response was “what” not “excuse me” or a response that was of a polite manner. She grabbed a dirty rag and wiped it over. The remaining staff members were extremely pleasant and kind. Would I eat here again, probably, but if that manager was on, I’d give her my piece next time.
When it comes to brekkies, there is nothing like starting off your day (or ending the night) with a hearty one. This breakfast burrito has it all; chorizo, bacon, egg, cheese—avo ahoy! I'd recommend getting the kitchen sink—2 hashbrowns. It's nice that it comes to you with one or two hashbrowns.
I never knew I wanted a ceramic mug with espressos until I got this one! It's so much nicer than other varieties that use paperboard, and the grip is just right. The chipotle aioli is nice and garlicky while the hash browns are soft outside & crispy inside.
Food is ok but not the best in the area. Nice atmosphere but the seating process is broken. Enforce a wait to be seated process then give the table to people not at the front of the line. I haven’t had enough coffee to deal with such incompetence.
Friendly staff, very aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Super busy on a hot day, the fresh juices are incredible. A bit of a wait even on simple juice, and a bit pricey too. Overall a good beach experience.
Had a special dinner planned for my partner and I which ended up being a complete disappointment. First of all, we waited 20 minutes to get our drinks. Secondly, we waited an additional 40 minutes for our dinner only to find out that the order didn't go through. None of the staff cared to check up on us and see whether we had received all of our order. Really really disappointing. We will not be back.
All our meals were great, i loved the smashed avocado. The chai was the best I've had in a long time. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Food good, but service not good at all. Quite rude. Coffee took a very long time, even dining in, and arrived cold. A real shame, as it's a great spot!
Ordered a take away coffee waited 5 minutes to order 3 staff behind the counter extremely busy probably understaffed on a sunny Friday morning - and it took 15 minutes for my takeaway coffee to be made either it’s poor standards or just laziness - very pretentious environment too
Great juice and really tasty food. The staff managed well on a very busy and hot day. Only disappointing thing was the poached eggs were basically hard boiled and took away from what was a nice eggs benny. Also never got given table water even after we asked. But the staff were flat out and mistakes happen
Great coffee, tasty smoothies. Plentiful outdoor seating at tables and benches. Selection of fresh and bottled drinks. Sweet treats including muffins, friands, slices and biscuits including vegan options. Savoury options including huge tantalising looking croissants. Friendly barista and wait staff.
Delicious food, colourful presentation, made room for us despite a really busy crowded morning with excellent service. Seating was a bit crammed though.
Great spot and obviously very popular. Perfect weather and Anzac day long weekend meant that takeaway service was just way too slow today.
I have eaten breakfast here twice now, and the quality of food, presentation of venue and level of service remain the same - amazing! Very happy to come across this place by recommendation.
