Mac's Hotel

Historic Hotel in the centre of Mount Gambier. Staff were friendly and enjoyed staying at the historic hotel with modern amenities. Highly recommended.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Very rude ignorant staff. 10/10 would NOT recommend going here. When trying to call and rectify situation replied with “And what do you want me to do about it”. Very disappointing

Held my hubby's 60th Birthday Party in the Cider Garden Room, had a fantastic night and the room was perfect. Let us put decorations up, food was great, excellent atmosphere. Top service by Kylie the Events Organiser. Totally recommend

The food was really nice. Cooked perfectly. Just a bit expensive. I would go there again for an occasion but not just out for tea on a weekend with the family.

Mac's Hotel is a great Pub. The service was great the food came out nice and hot. The meals were really good, generous serves and a good variety of choices on the menu. Would recommend. The Decor is eclectic, interesting and cosy, it was a cold night.

Waited almost one and a half hours for a dinner that was almost certainly sourced from Woolworths frozen food section. I hope it was just a bad night for them.

We had dinner here twice the good was wonderful the service to match could not fault this place sit by the fire order a bottle of red and kick back and enjoy the food

Nice simple room, shared bathroom was neat and clean.

The meal was good value and service was really nice.

We enjoyed our meal here, I had the Thai beef Salad ahich was very tasty, the wife had the Hawaiian Pizza, which she enjoyed. Good friendly service & quick served meals.

Good food but waa a very busy the day we went so meals took sometime to come out and had to sit in the cold outside.

We came from Melbourne and stayed a couple nights. Amazing rooms for the price, menu is great, their Thursday chicken wing night is next level and our bartender Tristan was incredible! Perfect gin tasting and amazing cocktails. I can't recommend Tristan or this pub more to any Mt Gambier stayers. Best pub in Mt Gambier!

Visited for dinner. Awesome rat versus snake taxidermi in the dinning area. Two fish with chips - was greasey and claggy batter with a small handful of fries. Visit this place with your retired grandparents they will love it

Staff really friendly but i was not happy with the steak way overcooked and potato's said romary and sea salt but there was none on it at all and potato's didnt taste freshly cooked. Very disappointing.

Great experience in a traditional australia hotel, good stay, missed to dine in their restaurant, so should be back one day.

Great service and awesome cocktails! Environment is really nice and food was absolutely divine! We sat in the bar area and had the special pasta of the day and the pork belly. Definitely recommend!

Service without the smile, really sticky carpet, salad was shredded cabbage and 3 tiny thirds of sliced cucumber, nothing elce! Only reason it didnt get less stars= Beautiful pieces of fish. Huge pieces of fish! Oh and the stuffed mushroom looked amazeballs! Yeah nah.
