Tiny beef schnitzel for the price and no salad bar.
Chicken schnitzel was a good size however, wish I had that instead. Otherwise nice spot.

Loved it! Staff and Management were faultless and incredibly friendly. Customer Service was perfect. Facilities and premises was spotless. Food was incredible and very generous servings. Hats off to the chef. Steak was to my specifications perfectly and service was quick. The building is gorgeous and tastefully restored to perfection. Iv stayed in the rooms on several occasions as they are comfortable cozy and meticulously clean. I live in Gawler and frequently drive all the way there just for the steak or fish. Can;t review it enough to do it justice as it deserves so much more than 5 stars

Cocktails are in consistent. Takes a long time to receive your order. Ordered same cocktail 2 weeks apart and it was completely different. Definitely better places in Mount Gambier to sit back relax and enjoy a cocktail would not head back in a hurry

Dinner here was mixed I had a lovely chicken parma cooked spot on.
My wife's rump how ever was slightly over cooked but was more gristle than meat, the staff did replace it with another that was slightly better and a couple drinks on the house. I feel it was the meat itself was a cheaper cut.

Nice friendly atmosphere. Simple easy food sadly no salad or vegetable bar or options. Great pokie area and outside area set up awesome to enjoy a drink and meal with friends and family. Cupachino's made to order are worth purchasing as their coffee grounds are very yum

Dined only. Excellent service from very cheerful and competent staff. Meals very good. Prices reasonable. Highly recommend. We will certainly return next time we're through Mt Gambier.

Having a family holiday here in Mt Gambier and stopped in for a meal on a Monday night. The meals were large and the quality was great. My wife had a rump? , I had the mixed seafood and my kids had kids pizza. The pub was very worm and inviting, staff were helpful and friendly.

Lovely meal and great service from barman. Really made us feel welcome! Beautiful old building.

I had arguably the best steak I have ever had last night at Macs. The small pieces of potato not to forget the mushrooms were superb. James Muir

Food quality and varieties on the menu place this as possibly the best pub in Mt Gambier currently.

Best bar collection. You can find almost everythings you looking for here. And enjoy the fine Bar food there. All the food are well prepared and nicely served.

Food was bad, the oysters were warm and the chef had no idea where they come from. We were lucky we didn't get sick

Wonderful craft beer collection! One of the most impressive I've ever seen. Definitely try some when you visit there and maybe you will find the right brewery for you.

I had the 300g scotch fillet which was cooked perfectly the roasted spuds were nice and crispy without being burnt.

My wife had the salt and pepper squid which she said was tasty not overwhelmingly salty but just right.

Daughter had the kids Hawaiian pizza which we all had a little taste of.was really good better then our home towns pizza.

All the food came out quickly like within 15 minutes of ordering.friendly customer service.

Dessert was a kids Sunday which I mean impossible to mess up.

And what I would describe as a smashed pavlova. The "eton mess" was tasty as. Crunchy meringue whipped cream and tasty Berry coulis.it was good.

Definitely come here if your hungry and in Mt Gambier

Food was very nice/ delicious and value for money.

Staff were fine. Sat in strange small room near childrens play space (closed cos Covid) Felt a little unclean- But just like most pubs really. Nothing terrible. Would return again.

Great meals and drink service. Enjoyed light meal after a show at Sir Robert Helpmann theatre which is adjacent to Macs

Take me back best staff, Amy is by far well Amy and Craig by far most accommodating best chefs I've met and had the pleasure of indulging in some off menu items I now crave.but can't find anything half as good as they made in Adelaide

Goes off on a weekend. Wish they didn't ask me for ID 3 times in 10 minutes. Good toilet for chucking your guts at 2 am

Good pub. Innovative menu with some great options, quality food and good size portions. Good selection on the wine list with many local options to choose from. Pleasant staff and prompt service. I’ve eaten here several times over the last year and has always been enjoyable, happy to go back.
