Lucky Lupitas reviews
77Food was great, really liked the ribs and chicken wings the tacos were awesome also. Friendly staff and prompt service will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely meal.
Nice Mexican street food which might be different from what you have tried before, worth trying
Friendly customer service, staff have been incredible. The food is extremely filling with lots of bang for your buck. Absolutely delicious and good vibes.
Went to this restaurant for dinner last night with the family. Amazing food and hospitality is great. I’ll certainly be going back for some more delicious food. Great job team…
Nice spacious Mexican atmosphere, friendly staff. Had the pork belly taco and slow cooked lamb. Asked for hard shell taco as the waiter said it was possible, but got served soft shell. Pork belly was good, and juicy. Lamb was alright. Onion rings were crispy but its quite a small serve. Burrito was packed with rice and a little bit of meat. Crispy nachos on the side were flavoursm but so few pieces. It was OK overall, expected more for the price. Enchiladas were tasty and saucy, the best on the menu.
Food was decent but an hour wait for three tacos and a bowl of nachos was ridiculous. Front of house staff all looked unhappy and like they didn’t want to be there. Asked two separate staff to check how much longer our food was going to be and neither came back with an answer. Based on some other recent reviews it looks like this happens more than it should. Disappointing as the food was decent!
Excellent food, full of flavour and good serving sizes. The atmosphere is lively. Best virgin mojito I've had.
Really good experience
If you want to experience authentic Mexican cuisine, give it a go.
Tacos are extremely good, Quesadillas are fantastic, me as a vegetarian experienced a great service from them, overall fantastic.
New management is doing great and keeping up with the previous one. Staff is really co-operative and welcoming.
Keep it up guys
Extremely disappointing food. Lucky Lupitas used to be a highly rated Mexican restaurant I had frequented a few times. Dining there recently I learned of a change in management and was keen to try the food with a clean slate. Upon entry there was a stench of burnt food which was quite pungent that our friends all noticed. The fish tacos came out with a piece of battered fried fish on a tortilla and drizzled with sauce that tasted like coles bottled sauce. A disappointment to the old taco menu which was complex and full of new flavours.
The enchiladas came served on a mushy plate of sauce, the chicken inside was rubbery, the corn tortilla was dry and tasted floury and myself nor my friends could stomach finishing it. There is another review below describing the same awful experience we had with the enchiladas with a photo. The tacos were average, edible and after the enchiladas, tasty.
I used to recommend lucky lupitas to friends, but this has gone very bad. Do not recommend.
We had take away from here last night and it was amazing! Cannot wait to dine in.fish tacos, Chicken wings & calamari were delicious.
Been to Lucky Lupitas a few years ago absolutely loved it unfortunately I cannot say the same thing after my recent experience.front of house service was slow and lack luster, food was without inspiration or care almost as if the chef had given up.you can peer into the kitchen when you wander to use the bathroom and with a visible kitchen you'd expect it to be reasonably clean instead its total chaos. It's a real shame, regardless if it's extremely busy or not your experience shouldn't change.
Never had Mexican before. Hadn't a clue what was on the menu! Jeremy had a chat to me and suggested what to get. Excellent service from him on what looked a busy night. Food was great. Chicken was cooked to perfection with a beautiful char grill flavour. Jalapeno slaw was perfect. Thanks again Jeremy, went above and beyond tonight.
If you don't leave this place feeling like you're going to die from overeating, than you've not had the full experience.
Sangria and chicken enchiladas! Great food and drinks at a good price and great service. Recommend the set menu if your in a group. Won't get a bigger or better feed for the price.
Place was busy, decor bright and welcoming, food options good for plant-based and meat. Long wait to place an order and even longer >more than an hour, to be served. No indication on booking of long wait. Food was good when it finally arrived. $9 frozen margarita was great though nothing could make up for the poor service. Would have liked to try the sweet menu, but won't be back.
Nice vibe and great menu with lots of tasty options. Super friendly staff and we will definitely be back! Lost one star for slow/ strangely staggered food service. We wouldn't recommend the frozen margarita as it tasted like syrup (not in a good way), however they handled this really well. The squid and chorizo taco was our favourite, as well as the mushroom quesadilla.their corn is hands down the best we have had!
Chicken bowl was soggy and there was heaps of water on the bottom the nachos and enchilada looked good though
Good Mexican food in a cantena style environment. For those who like their Mexican spicy there are plenty of sauces to make it as hot as you like. Otherwise the food is flavoursome and the service quick and friendly
Best nachos I've had in a long time. I added the beef brisket and the balance of flavours is spot on. Nothing is overpowering and everything goes well with each other. The crispy fish was cooked perfectly. Moist on the inside and crispy with a crunch on the outside. Definately worth a try if you want mexican.
Have been a regular here but had not been in a little while. On returning the menu had changed (luckily corn is still on menu!). There is less selection for seafood. It was also disappointing to see portion sizes have decreased, prices increased and the presentation was boring. I could not fault the taste. Still very delicious. Great atmosphere, ideal for big groups - affordable tasting menu for $37.
