Good crowd and food
Thank you for the awesome Service guys
My wife and I had a two course lunch to celebrate our anniversary. Food and wine were all good and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Lunch yesterday was a first time visit for us and it won’t be the last. Locavore couldn’t be faulted - amazing service, excellent food and welcoming comfortable decor. Thank you for a great experience
Had the best lunch and celebration of a Birthday today. Pork was the best I have had, generous serving and delicious. Gnocci home made and top class. Really nice vibe and perfect private area on the mesanine for larger crowds. Lovely
Thanks so much to Rosanne and the team at Loca-Vore for hosting our wedding reception, what an amazing venue. Food and drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was even better!
Must go place if you are coming to Stirling. Delicious and yummy food. We as famiy can't wait to come again. One of our favourite restuarnts in Stirling.
I try to go to The Loca-Vore as often as possible. Excellent food and service in an atmosphere where you can have a conversation. On this occasion, our group of six theooughly enjoyed the evening.
I have been to loca-vore quite a few times now and I can never fault their food. Can confidently say this would be a favourite restaurant.
Went for lunch and pleasantly surprised the choice in the menu. Looks very promising have better return to try the rest
Three Hats for The Locavore?
While living in the culinary corridor of Stirling-Aldgate-Bridgewater-Uraidla, I had somehow missed booking a meal at The Locavore over the past four years. Maybe it was the raised windows which makes the inside difficult to discern. Or maybe it was the menu, which looked delicious but limited. Whatever the reason, when I needed to make a reservation for a dinner with a few friends mid-week last month, The Locavore had availability so I booked. What followed was one wonderful surprise after another.
From the street, the high ceilings make the restaurant look grand, but walking into the space itself felt cozy and comfortable. Five or six tables were sprinkled around the room, and the intimacy along with the roaring fire made me feel as if I had walked into a chef's own home.
That warmth continued all night. Service was friendly, helpful, and unpretentious. The other diners were all clearly there for a special evening and the mood was cheerful. The food was perfect - beautifully cooked. Even the burger received rave reviews. After a bottle of wine and dessert, we rolled out of the restaurant wondering exactly where we had been transported to that evening and how in the world we hadn't know about The Locavore's magic before.
There are finer restaurants in the Hills. And there are more expensive fit-outs, bigger wine lists, and grander views. But if they handed out Hats to places that welcome you like family and feed you as if the chef is cooking his or her favourite meal just for you, The Locavore would have three. On balance, this is the best restaurant in the Adelaide Hills.
My favourite place to eat. The food is always beyond expectation and the people are so wonderful
Thank you ️
I think overall, the food is good, but I just wish they offer more options that are gluten-free and dairy free
Had an amazing experience with family from overseas showcasing all that is fabulous about SA
The food was first class and service discreet and efficient
The ambience was great for easy conversation and you just felt at home
Good food and service
Some items on menu online not available in restaurant
2 people had steak not cooked to required request
Food was all fresh, flavours were sensational! Service was attentive and very friendly!
If I lived is SA it would be my come to favourite restaurant.
Scrumptious seafood linguine and a perfect macchiato. And easy listening music! A very pleasant evening.
Stopped in late, close to closing time and they still generously managed to fit us in and got us a meal. Service was friendly and accommodating, the food was fresh and tasty. Menu looked good though it was limited for us as we were the late arrivals. Well worth checking out.
Chef generously shared his recipe for a porcini, shallot and herb butter with me.
That made the cooked to perfection steak even more special.
Hearty, flavourful, locally sourced ingredients to make their delicious food. Also, friendly customer service.
Amazing atmosphere and ambiance. Very well thought menu and good wine selection. Everything sourced locally. The food was great and we both enjoyed our meals.
Highly recommended.
