Little NNQ reviews
56It’s really not that good! It offers nothing different nor interesting in terms of Vietnamese food. My first time here was some years ago. I was unimpressed and felt the prices were too high. Now years later, the food is even more unimpressive and the prices don’t warrant the underwhelming food, especially when there is so much competition around. Very standard fair for the non-Asian palate. There are no dishes that I can recommend.
Always a great place to head for a nice vietnamese meal. Hot tip.they have the lunch menu at dinner, so just ask and you can still get pho, combination rice and many of your other lunchtime favs!
The food is usually pretty nice. It's been a little inconsistent of late. One time my soup was cold, the next time I had a piece of plastic in my soup and tonight my duck was overcooked and was almost like jerky.
Hoping the inconsistency in cooking gets resolved soon as we love this place especially the duck noodle soup and combo rice.
Very disappointed with a food I had combination rice worst thing ever, I will never come back to this place, pho natic is so much better
Went there for Xmas dinner. We ordered a lot of food. There was a lot confusion in the dishes. The servers didn’t seem to have clear understanding of what was what. The food was pretty average. The service wasn’t the best, som of the drinks took 45 mins. At one instance a lemonade toh 30 mins. The table we were on was next to the toilets, so not the best spot eaither. The restaurant was busy due to festive season but still no reason for to drop the standard. Only good think was the location of the restaurant, which is pretty handy.
I tried first in NNQ Woodville. The food in both is exactly delicious (should be, is a franchise). Although I like this one in the city, more convenient for me, the one in Woodville would rate all in 5 stars. The best beef pho from all the Vietnamese restaurants I've been in Adelaide. My favourite dish was the caramelized prawns. Is a must try, at least order one to share, recommended to order with steam rice. If you are short of time go to this one, if you want great environment, service and design, go to the one in Woodville.
Forgot our drink order and our mains, then tried to give us the hurry up because we hadn’t finished by the time they wanted to close. My meal got taken while I went to the toilet even though my partner said I wasn’t finished. No apology offered, bafflingly poor customer service.
Wonton soup was excellent starter, unfortunately was highlight of our meal.
Duck salad was overpriced for only 5-6 thin slices of duck. Pork belly wasn't crispy and not particularly tasty.
Share platter was overpriced.
Signature cocktails are interesting and worth a try.
I’m honestly shocked for what I paid. Pork was sooooo dry. Might I add the staff are very arrogant. Especially the Asian blonde who works at the front. Very condescending. Won’t be returning. Waste of money
We ordered Pho HotPot and that was the best decision. We just loved that! Other dishes were nice too. We came 2 3 times and haven’t been disappointed so far. You must try.
Very Ordinary would not recommend it to any one my Chicken was tough & lettuce Limp when I told them paying for it they wouldn’t discount
We had an absolutely awful experience. So disappointing because we had heard really amazing things.
We booked a table (not a walk in) - ordered several entrees to share, an hour and 15 minutes after waiting (while watching all the tables around us- who ordered after us - get their food) we were then told they had “run out” of what we ordered. Also took 30 minutes, each time, to get the two drinks we had.
We were then charged a 15% surcharge for eating one entree between 4 people and left with zero acknowledgment or apology. Oh and.they forgot to take all the food we didn’t get, off our bill.
Went with a group of 12 and the overall consensus was the food was pretty average. Some dishes were great and some not. All beautifully presented though.
Service was super slow, we had to ask twice for water and even drinks ordered took over an hour. Long waits even between dishes coming out (some people were finished before others had received their meal). When dessert was served there was no cutlery.
I personally have allergies and was concerned when I had to explain what dairy was… if I weren’t there for a friend I don’t think I would have risked eating there.
Staff were friendly. Bathrooms were not well maintained, no soap and bins overflowing.
Nice atmosphere, good food, well labeled gluten free options. The lemongrass and chilli pork belly was delicious.
Great tasting authentic Vietnamese food. Would only say it needs more filling and less noodles.
The food has always been delicious and the drinks are decently priced. I’ve always come back here and never been disappointed.
The staff are also quite friendly.
Right at the beginning of the dinner, they talked to us with no respect, more like shouted into our face. Just because we were our school’s UNIFORM means that we can be treated by any ways you guys want. So, we decided to walk RIGHT out just due to that attitude. NEVER come back, and not recommend for any STUDENTS who want to eat there.
Cheers
Food was pretty average. Thought it would be better than it actually was. Emma and I won’t be back. Cheers
The betel leaf roll your own cold rolls, and tamarind soft shell crab, are always awesome. Amazing value as well. And friendly staff.
A rather pleasant little restaurant (not actually all
that little!) Ideal for a full meal or just a snack, which is what I came here for this time. The mini bánh mì is pretty good, not only because it’s snack size, but also because they toast the bun so it’s warm and crisp outside - and they don’t overload the content so you get lost in all the fillings – its’ simplicity is perhaps it’s best feature. Also in my photo is a small serve of fried wontons, which as always, are done just right. The snacks are nicely complemented with a home-made Vietnamese lemonade.
Nice little restaurant, young coconut drink was very nice and the noodles was very good as well. Nice quick and friendly service I will be coming back.
