Little Canton Chinese Restaurant reviews
65Delicious food, friendly and fast service and reasonable pricing, will be back again soon.
We visited for Yum Cha on Christmas Day. The place was busy and the service was good. The food was good, although you need to order from the menu (rather than a trolley service).
Traditional Cantonese Chinese cuisine. The atmosphere was great, there were many people. Service was decent. Loved the complimentary bowl of prawn crackers. The rice was perfectly cooked but it costed $5 a bowl which is way too overpriced. The chicken and salted fish fried rice was good, wish there would’ve been more chicken, salted fish and wok hei. The sweet and sour pork way ok but it wasn’t crunchy anymore by the time it came out. The salt and pepper squid tentacles were delicious. I loved how the food came out very quickly.
Extremely fast service, chill atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was amazing as well!
Because of my Diabetes, I cannot eat white rice. I brought my own basmati/millet/quinoa mix in a pyrex container wanting it to be heated up in the restaurant's microwave but that request was rejected (whereas many other restaurants have been very helpful). So I walked out without eating anything. I'll never eat here again like I have in my Non-Diabetic past. Would give Zero Stars if possible.
The rest of the lunch group said that the food is not good, not like before and are unlikely to dine there again.
Nice cantonese style Chinese restaurant in the western suburb. Yumcha is available and food was great for family and friends catchup events.
Never go back. Staffs are not care about customer, not attentive, slow and limited language. Food is average, over priced for what it has. Awful.
So many dishes to choose from. Almost everything is tasty and good.
Overall, a convenient place for yumcha lunch because there is free parking right at the doorstep and quality is consistent. Prices are similar to the nicer restaurants in the city.
Great yumcha at at a great place always driven past but didn't never tried until a friend recommended. Very easy parking too compared to City squid tentacles was really good and so was the chicken feet.
Walked in planning to order some take away, ended up sitting down at a table and ordering. Look the food tasted good, great infact. But the place is priced more expensive than the atmosphere, the food came out in under 10 minutes which was concerning almost as if it was sitting out the back ready to go. The young lady serving us was polite but didn't speak much English which made it hard. The staff seemed surprised we only ordered mains and also a little annoyed. Disappointed that the meal didn't have rice or noodles with it and the server didn't tell us this either. 2 mains and 2 cans of coke 56 dollars, if you want an expensive dinner then they got you covered. Again pricey but the food was very good.
Been coming here on and off and the last visit confirmed why we don’t come here anymore. Thought we would try again after giving this place a break but again, our mistake for deciding to come back.
Service was painfully slow, the waiters refused to take away our stacked plates… had to ask them three times and when the waiter came over he tried to walk away and either pretend he didn’t hear us or act like he didn’t understand what we were asking him …. Ordered tea and after 1.5 hrs the tea still hadn’t arrived, even after asking them multiple times for it. Food lacked taste, had to constantly ask for soy sauce and chilli…. The list goes on…
Avoid at all cost or until staff are retrained.
Food was delicious and prepared extremely quickly, even apologised for delivering too slow despite how quickly it arrived. Excellent service.
Here used to be my No1 Yam Cha place, food was so delicious.but when i went there last week the food texture was changed.most of the dishes were not taste the same.when the restaurant was renovated in a good direction, the quality of dishes went to the different way.
Thanks for making my day. Found a dead cockroach in the chicken feet with black bean sauce. The manager just said sorry and took away the dish. When we get the bill, no compensation or a sorry from the staff and they pretended nothing was happened. Well done
Food was bloody excellent value and there was definitely no shortage of food! Mates will be thrilled when I tell them about this joint!
A little disappointed. The fried rice at $15 had nothing special about it. Rice with pork & prawns only, & they were scarce, with not a vegetable in sight. I have a walker & one of the staff were quick to politely get the door for me though.
Went in for a table, there's still a lot of table but the staff tell us we need to wait for another table to finished then we can pop in. The empty table wasn't book at all. Good food but bad customer service.
The service just got bad to worse. I was ignored by 5 waiters and when someone finally came he just said "no table" and left. I will never ever return or recommend anyone to come here because of the rude and non-existent service.
This is definitely one of Adelaide’s best yum cha, we have been here multiple times and will continue to go back as the food is amazing, you gotta get the crispy beef?
This place is the Chinese version of FawltyTowers. The service is so appalling it really doesn’t matter if the food is any good or not.
