La Popular Taqueria reviews
63Surprise in Port Adelaide, great little place.definitely stop in for a visit. The food was great, the staff super friendly. Best of all it was open when everything else was shut!
Bright friendly restaurant for great food and booze. The playful design of the resturant sets the tone for a good time with fun illustrations on the walls, mexican wresting on the tv, and a collection of Mexico mementos dotted around. Friendly staff will guide you through the authentic mexican food and drink menu with vegan and vegeterian options. Food is very tasty but tacos are small (2-3 for a meal) and the drinks menu features a large menu of tequila, rum, mexican beers, craft brews and fun cocktails just bear in mind that organic soft drinks are served so the cola is not coke. Great place for a solo snack and beer, a flavoursome taco flight and cocktails with a few of friends, or a fun lunch stop during a day out.
I love TACOS! And the popular is the best place to find the best tacos in Adelaide! You will not be disappointed. Lovely staff, great location.
Wonderful experience, great staff, great food. Although a very busy night the team now their stuff and we’re absolutely amazing and on the ball!
Good tacos and lovely staff. I got the flight of tacos which was great - my favourite were the zuchinni and pork tacos
Great tasty Mexican food. The owner was very pleasant and polite about my corn intolerance and gave helpful suggestions to which dishes the tortilla can be replaced with wheat based ones. Portions are small like the venue. Keen to try.ore next time.
Very expensive for basic Mexican food. I've had Mexican food many times and for the money I paid, it's by far not the best. Lovely customer service though. I left still feeling hungry
What a great find. Enjoyed Mothers Day lunch here. Great food, fabulous service, all Mum's received a free sweet, lovely.
The owner is lovely, but the food is very small and expensive for the servings. $7 for veg taco and $9.50 for fish taco the size of the palm is too expensive. Customer service and staff are very nice but unfortunately we spent $72 for 2 of us for lunch and left hungry.
THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN ADELAIDE.
I can't rave about this place enough. Extremely authentic tacos and killer margaritas.
When I go I always get the flight of tacos because I can't choose between the 7 taco varieties. They may look small, but I guarantee you will not leave hungry.
The owner and her partner are super kind and always willing to have a chat.
Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options available here.
The food was amazing. Best tacos and guacamole I’ve had. Amazing and friendly service. Would definalty recommend
Menu is simple. Food was fantastic fresh & full of flavour. Service was great and staff were warm & friendly. We will definitely be back. Please keep the fish tacos!
The real McCoy!
If you are expecting the usually fast food high street experience then this is not for you. It is a genuine Mexican venue serving authentic food and drinks. A little bit of Mexico in Australia! Highly recommended.
Friendly staff. Delicious and Authentic food. The staff explain everything so you know exactly what you are ordering. Great Atmosphere.
Best Mexican in Adelaide Region. Authentic food, friendly service paired with a cold Pacifico beer. Couldn't ask for more! 100% recommended!
Shared the tasting platter which was a great way to try all the amazing flavours. Great cocktails too. We will be back for sure
Acoustics: 2 stars - difficult to converse with those not right next to you.
However, the food is excellent. We've been here a couple of times now, and will continue to do so. There are more options these days for more authentic Mexican food, and this is up there with the best. I suppose when the owner and the manager are both Mexicans, you can't go too wrong.
As for the poor acoustics, sit outside, go when nobody else is there, or go with someone you don't talk to anyway.
Service is excellent. Staff are polite and friendly! Food is so tasty! Do not leave without ordering the desert! Amazing!
Delicious and lovely staff. My wife is Mexican and gave two big thumbs up. We will be back and then some!
