I would recommend coming here for delicious traditional Mexican cusine, fantastic service and a cosy atmosphere. Dined with 9 last night. We ordered three guac and chips, three pork cracklings and two serves of Flautas for starters. All highly enjoyed the starters and they were able to cater for a member of the group that was vegan (I got - guac + chips, vegan flauta). Server recommended three tacos per person, which I would suggest is the minimum if you are a large eater. I selected all three tacos from the veg/vegan menu. Hongos (mushroom, garlic and salsa), Calabacitas (zucchini, sweet corn and salsa) and the Baja style cauliflower (cauliflower, pico de gallo, shredded cabbage). These were delicious, my favourite being the Baja style cauliflower. I would rate this 4.7 due to the small size of the tacos (traditional sizes) you need to order a lot to be full.

Very delicious tacos, guacamole and cornchips, pork crackling and salsa, margarita. Portions seem small, but a shared entree and a couple of tacos is a comfortable meal. The range of taco fillings is vast. A little too noisy inside to talk with a small group, but one on one is fine. Great atmosphere, and terrific staff. Very enjoyable and looking forward to going back. I think the feed me menu is the way to go.

This place serves some of the best tacos I’ve eaten. The moment you enter the restaurant, you’re transported to some of the most Mexican things you’d expect.

Their menu is small, to be honest; but their offerings are more than sufficient. We tried all but their zucchini tacos. My favourites would include their beef steak, fish, and chicken.

It’s on the premium side of pricing, so don’t expect to have a cheap meal. But with the quality of food that comes out, you’ll be more than satisfied.

We had a really good time, very nice food, great flavours and perfect service.

Mexican food is one of our favorite dish and tried diff mexican dish in diff countries. The food in La Popular Taqueria is nice, though portion is small. Been here 3 times and last month we enjoyed the margarita. The service is a bit slow better order even before finishing a small portion of food. And the restaurant is so tight.

This is a honest review, it was my first time comming here with my gf, we were having very high expectations as a friend recommended it. We choose the share menu $98 for both, thinking that would be lots of food, we start with the pork crackles and chips was very nice but we only got a tiny little bit of guac with salsa. After that we got the soup that was delicious however the serve was smaller than a cup, then we got some different sort of tacos everything was good but once they brought the mains, I ordered a double serve of tortillas to get full. A little disappointing as my main dish was a lot rice, beans and little chicken. To finalise we order the dessert looks amazing but the caramel was burnt making taste really bitter we couldn't eat it. Anyway I appreciate the big effort you do for the mexican culture, but I feel like the portions should be more balanced.

I am really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The portion sizes are so small and we ended up spending $65 for 4 tiny tacos, a starter and two soft drinks. This place is so overpriced! The waiter was very lovely but they had forgotten our order and we were left waiting a while whilst people who ordered way after us were getting their food. They also brought out three tacos, and we had to wait an extra 10mins for the last one (why not bring them all out at once?). I really think this place has the potential to be a lot better and hope they take the advice of their reviews. We left this place starving and feeling ripped off!

What we got was good just don’t get the “let us feed you” superbly disappointing. It’s not that the food is bad it’s just that the potions were extremely small for $50 a head.

Love Mexican food? Love tequila? Then make your way mucho pronto here. The tacos are 10/10 and service with a smile.

Amazing Taco place that makes there own tacos in-house. You probably can’t get closer to more original Mexican food in Adelaide than this. Yummy tacos and a great selection of Mescal and Tequila. Definitely a place to highly recommend. Checkout there share menu for two it has a great selection of dishes.

Authentic South American cuisine and friendly staff. Entree sized portions at roughly $8.00 per dish. Shared option available starting at $40.00 per head. Nice and clean building, seated dining inside for approximately 30 people.

Hands down the best Mexican food I have eaten in Australia. So simple and authentic, the flavours are incredible! The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere is very chilled. 2 for 1 margarita Thursdays makes this spot my new local as well.

I'm usually sensitive to Mexican cuisine but the experience here was worth every penny. An unforgettable dining experience - and I mean that in a good way.

They're always friendly, they know their regulars, the restaurant is nice, and the food is absolutely amazing!

Food was great, atmosphere was nice and customer service was excellent! The almond milk drink was delicious too!

Only downside is the value - especially if you're a big eater. I got 3 tacos and was nowhere near full - I probably would have needed to get at least another 3 or 4.
