Kwan Yen Chinese Restaurant reviews
59The food is amazing. We have tried numerous dishes over 3 visits. Each dish was delicious and very fresh. Special mention to the amazing honey prawns and incredible mango ice cream. We love the food here so much, we are reluctant to try elsewhere. Super friendly service from the young girl too. Highly recommend
The meat dishes are tasty. My only complain that the serve of fried rice for 4 people was ridicouslosly tiny.
I did not appreciate the attitude I got because I was delayed getting to my door for the delivery e.g "did you hear me knocking? ! ". If I hadn't heard them knock, I wouldn't have answered the door! I was putting my baby down and in doing so safely, it took me a bit of time to get to the door. I also was not expecting the order so soon as the app told me it was going to be delivered 20 minutes later than what it was. Faster delivery is usually good, but in this case I was using the time to put my baby to sleep and was not expecting the food to turn up 20 minutes early.
Good food, but lose the attitude.
I will think twice before I order from here again.
Update: In response to the reply below, I was informed by your app that the food was going to be delivered 20 minutes later than what it was. I had no notification that it would be here 20 minutes early. There is also no place on the app to leave a note eg please leave by the door.
I did not appreciate the tone in which I was spoken to at the door, especially as a paying customer. I also do not appreciate the back handed, rude response to my review.
Food is very avrage all onion very low amount of actual meet in take away dishes paid 40 bucks for some boiled vegies in sauses that i can make better at home verry didapointed. Chicken fried rice had no chicken satay beef is basiclly all onion and sweet chiili chicken is just sweet no chilli ive had wok in a box thats better and thats saying something as this place is apparently a chinese restraunt, i wont be back the food went in the bin the 1.25 coke i got is good atleast what a complete wwaste of money and food, i sould have went back and got a refund, discusted
Spectacular.
Food was excellent both in portion sizes and flavour. Vegetarian salt and pepper options are available and can recommend the eggplant. No doubts about returning for another delicious adventure.
Great food everytime and for a really good price. My favourite is either curry or satay beef, but all good.
Would have to say best Chinese! Even gave me extra items without expecting it. Best value and great food. Definitely be returning. Thanks
The Banquer for 4 people was very tasty, a good selection of the meals in the Menu. Service was excellent.
Terrible service wifes food size good but plum sauce 2 out of 10 mine chicken in black peeper sauce was the skimpiest meal ever lucky to be half a tenderloin sauce could have been store bought as had a skin on it and was bland 1 out of ten just because it was food never again stay away its not even food court worthy
Perfect food. We ate here on monday night and service was very fast, hot, good portion, well presented and very tasty. The waitress was very gentle spoken and very welcoming. They made our normal day special.
The food was delicious however the young girl who served us had a terrible attitude. She spoke in a blunt tone & didn't smile once.
Food is great, a little pricey but worth it.decor old and drab, the older lady is rude, rest of staff are great.
We will probably return because of the younger staff and the food.
Quan Yen is a fabulous restraunt the food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the owners are always there and doing their bit to make it better if possible
Had a dine in banquet, food was pretty good and the servings were decent, but the service really leaves something to be desired. It looks like working there is depressing
Much more than your generic Asian takeaway. We absolutely loved every dish and boy did we eat a lot.
100% the best around the area by far!
You can’t fault these guys. If you ask for something they will do it. If you talk to them they will be as nice as pie. The food specifically the satay is great. Fried Rice is good lots of Char Siu and good size prawns on top.
The lemon / honey chicken is absolutely lovely. The chicken is hit and miss but they didn’t raise the chicken. They just cooked it.
Did I say the satay is great?
Try the satay!
I guess it depends on the night, ordered to take away on a Wednesday evening, the food was great as well as the service. A week and a half later on a Friday night placed a large take away order, the staff weren't friendly at all, the food was terrible, all the meat was tough and chewie, everything tasted like its been sitting in the bain marine too long. Very disappointing
The owner Theresa is so lovely and friendly and goes out of her way to cater to allergies where possible, always enjoy the food thanks for making our night a great one
Over rated reheated food when question was told if you dont like dont order from us and yes he said its all re heated 100% not fresh.i ask if even the rice if fresh he said we re heat it when we add prawns so its reheated dry and no soy sauce.in the bin never agian
