KIMBA ROADHOUSE & MOTEL reviews
69 Very friendly service at the servo.
Good facilities at the caravan park although a minor thing, all the soap dispensers were empty. Camping area is flat with dry grass but ok for tents.
Good place for an overnight stay.
We stayed here for 2 nights because we knew the weather was going to be very hot and windy. We didn't want to be towing the caravan in that weather if we didn't need to. It turns out we did the best thing. 46km/hr Crosswinds and 37 degrees followed by a Storm. Everything here was good. Power and water. Clean toilets and showers and a new BBQ area and at a very reasonable price indeed.
Great Indian food at the road house and great service.
The motel rooms are quite dirty with big stains on the carpet and crappt beds
Fuel price's are reasonable. Toilets left a little to be desired (could do with an update as they've been that way for year's). Service was OK but communication was average.
Unfortunately breakfast was a disaster
Poached eggs & bacon
They had no idea how to cook poached eggs
No coffee, super rude staff, no receipt available for fuel, which was super expensive. Only disappointing thing about my time in Kimba
Some of the best and authentic Indian food I've tasted. Great friendly service and outstanding food.
Worth a stop if ya driving through. The shark room is worth a look a d a read. Very impressive how its been put together.good stop off and nice Indian food too. Re filled there before streaky Bay stop.over.
We used the caravan park for one night and were totally satisfied. Power water worked fine, tidy site and the toilet and shower very clean. The restaurant smelled clean and not of old fat as in many places elsewhere. Their Naan and Samosas were tasty too. Truck noise from the nearby road is nothing owners can do about. We will come again.
We stopped here on a trip and enjoyed some delicious curries. Generous servings and authentic taste.
We stayed at the caravan park, everything was ok, clean toilette, ok laundry. But the internet page promised free wifi, but
that's not true. No wifi.
Nice roadhouse to stop and take a break during your trip, try the curries there they are expensive but fine for a roadhouse curry.
Five stars, friendly staff good service. But like most the other service stations, can't make a coffee.
Its all national forest travelling to Streaky bay so Definitely fill up here & grab a bite to eat!
Great place to stop for a quick curry en route. Love that they offer something other than chiko rolls and their other super fried companions!
Was pleasantly surprised with a great curry from Kimba roadhouse when passing through back in April. Have been thinking about that curry ever since and so happy to have bought extra this time - they are delicious!
We choose Kimba free camping at the first place but when we arrived it’s already full. Then we went to Kimba Motel Roadhouse & Caravan Park which is only 4 mins from Kimba free Camping. The reception is located at the gas stations. The staff told us that we can pitch our tent at the Caravan Park for $24 for unpowered site and $30 for powered site. It quite noisy tbh as the campsite is just beside the road. Anyway, we’re lucky enough to be able to choose our campsite at the very last minutes. The campsite is very clean, and there’s a hot shower, clean toilet and laundry as well. Oh! Last but not least, they got one eating place there where’s the food is so delightful especially the butter chicken! We are very grateful to be able to spend the night here before continuing our next journey tomorr. Highly recommended!
Good for fuel will never eat there again. The chicken was grease the fish was raw and the chips werent cooked that good
This place was closed when I got there so I just slept in my vehicle under portico.
I cleaned my windscreen with the window washing stuff that was left out in driveway.
I would like to thank the owner for providing me a safe lit area to get some much needed sleep.
I was woken by the local scavenger who was going through the rubbish bins looking for cans.
I did get a laugh out of that.
Next time I will stop by at a more decent hour and thank you personally.
Kind regards
Tony
Great place for fuel. Roadhouse facilities were clean. Don't bother with the food. The kids and I watched the female worker scrape uneated rice from another customers plate (from the dining area) back into the main rice dish from bainmarie. We had a 40 minute wait for $47.00 worth of food, for only $7.00 of it to be eaten, remainder was left in parking bay rubbish bin just up the street. There was hair in my daughters hotdog, burgers were soggy, buns fell apart once unwrapped & hot chips were tasteless. Will not be returning or recommending. I hope other customers have had a better experience with the service.

Hi there, our order was taken approximately 12: 25pm on this day, and we left the site just after 1pm- my guess it would have been roughly 12: 45-12: 50pm, as this made myself and children uneasy about our food preparation. All staff were observed to be wearing caps at the time. We understand the wait times for fresh food to be prepared along with the customer turnover during busy times will contribute to a longer than usual wait, but our food was far from edible for the extended wait time of a simple order. Thankyou for following this matter up as advised.
