Kensington Gardens Reserve reviews
39Awesome place for a day picnic. Loads of fun and so much to do to kids. There's a bridge with a tunnel type, kids can play and run around. Great park for a lovely day.
Easily one of the best reserves in the eastern burbs, enormous space to walk around with multiple ovals, playgrounds and wetlands, I highly recommend.
Great massive parks, tennis courts, basketball courts, walking trail, pond, Turf Cricket oval and other ovals, flying fox.
Lots of spaces, convenient walking track to fknd ur own, outdoor gym equipment, few kids play areas, benches to sit and relax, and a very clean place. I love to go there daily.
Wow this a great park to spend the day with family, and have plenty of car parks, play ground, tennis courts, creek, bbq, exercising, lot to do
Terrific Spot 4 a Walk after a long drive from Melbourne. Easy 2 Locate. Well Maintained. Not 2 far from Adelaide City
Has everything you would need in a public space. Sports everywhere too. Toilets are not too bad either
Liked the availability of common services like the Barbecue, toilets, children playing area etc. However, people visiting the place should care for the facilities and take initiative to clean up the utilities used by them for use of next users.
Great for watching cricket with plenty of parking and shade but you need to take your own chair.
Went to watch junior cricket. Sat under the Gum trees out of the sun. Most pleasant experience provided you bring your own chair.
Excellent spot to go with our grandies. Lots of trees, picnic tables and activities for the kids. Feel the serenity
Nice place for a BBQ, etc. Plenty of space, trees, shade.
Parking can be an issue due to nearby sports grounds.
This is a top park. 3 big ovals, cricket nets. Heaps of tennis courts.
Playground looks great.
Tece tly added paths / trails are a good running surface and circuit.
The tennis club has plenty of new courts, set in a lovely surround. Their clubhouse is also being renovated and is looking schmick!
Nice place, but a bit noise as it closes to a busy road. And the public tennis courts need cleaning regularly.
Equipment is good but no fence around it so kids are constantly running off into the car park that cuts through two sections of it. Considering the location the council should be able to afford to install a fence more BBQs and fix the broken toilet paper holder in the ladies toilets that I had found on the floor.
Disclosure: I grew up 2 blocks from Hazelwood Park and my parents later moved just down the road from Tusmore Park. Casting aside my biases, this is the best park in Burnside. We take the grandkids here to blow off steam. The playground lost its main attraction when the flying fox was removed, but still provides a good hour of distraction. The paths offer good riding tracks and the extensive grassed areas are perfect for kicking the footy. Plenty of off street parking and perfect for picnics.
Very nice place to relax and enjoy nature's beauty. Lovely atmosphere, especially around the cricket club. Only downer was when an inconsiderate family decided to leave their dog's poo on Kensington Oval. I told them they need to pick it up and the woman said I was just picking on them because they were Chinese. I think that was just their way of having people back off so they can do whatever they want. I saw another person also telling them but they too copped an earful. So disappointing that not all do the right thing.
This is such a pretty park and a number one go to. The dog starts funny little whinny sounds if we are anywhere near it and he thinks we might be stopping by.
