Kangaroo Island Seaview Motel

Great place to stay. Rooms well decorated and clean. The Motel is super well located with coffee shops, restaurants and shops just at the foot steps. The beach is in front of the motel.
The staff is super friendly and helpful, I made a couple of changes to my booking and they were so great at helping me out.
I will recommend this place and I will definitely stay there on my second trip to KI.

A couple of suggestions:
1. Room: Needs a micrwave and toaster. The small bed mattress is too soft
2. Service: The receiptions are nice. One request is to allow some fexible late check in time (Currently the last check in time is 8: 00PM). The last ferry is 6: 00PM and arrives around 7: 00PM. Then drive to your place due to road work may need >1 hour depending on whether a car rental is needed - if so longer time, so if a customerized time would be better.

This motel was an unexpected delight - the rooms are in great condition and have been renovated in great colours and lovely decor. Would recommend!

Location was perfect for what I was looking for, it’s across the road from the police station and within walking distance of everything I needed

I travel to KI for work on a regular basis. I have stayed in other motels and hotels, however since finding the Seaview, I have been very happy to return each time.
The rooms continue to be upgraded, and there are plans to improve the insulation between rooms that will address the small issue of noise transference. Being an older building, this is not unexpected, however it’s great that the owners and management constantly seek to improve the facilities.
Staff are friendly and helpful. They make Seaview feel like a “home-away-from-home” for a regular visitor like me.

We loved our 7 night stay. The rooms were even bigger than they appeared online and the location was perfect for us.
The view is gorgeous.

5 star because they offered us a full refund due to the ferry's weather cancellations on the day. Next time if I come visit Kangaroo Island, I will book this place again.

Sea view motel, Kangaroo Island is an amazing place to stay and specially their family rooms/suite are superb… high standard of stuff. Highly Recommend to be there to enjoy the Kingscote, right in-front of sea

The location was great with very friendly and welcoming staff at the reception.
We stayed in the recently renovated ocean view room which was okay. The blinds and curtains in the room were very bad as they didn’t block the sunlight in the morning. The shower cabin was very small and was not very clean. The shower pressure wasn’t great either.
They also have a shared microwave which was handy at KI.

Had mates stay there during the recent fires and unfortunately there bags had me been searched while we where on the fire ground

Smokers area is just outside the room doors. It's disgusting that even in 2022, you can't walk outside your room without being immediately subjected to second hand smoke. The room was clean and tidy, but being forced to breath in filthy smoke let this place down. Also the doesn't fill back up properly and takes a long time before you can re flush it.

Nice and neat and tidy, best part is been able to walk out the door in the morning and look out over the water.

Great if all you need is a bed. Problem with toilet multiple flushing in two rooms that we booked. One room had no body wash. Very basic. The one chair at the table could be removed and replaced with a lounge, as two staying in room but one dining chair. As I said good if all you need is a bed and shower.
