Jo Gapper Park - Playground, Dog Park, Tennis courts, Hiking Track and Lookout. reviews
63Lovely little playground with bbqs, picnic tables and plenty of room for ball games etc also connects onto a dog park so you can let your fur baby have a play too
Good newish playground and facilities, very clean toilets big carpark and lots of room for kids to run kick ball.
Seems to be a good park. Didn't check out the facilities though, only took my dog for a walk along the hiking trail.
Toilets are extremely weird, no actual seat which feels quite degrading, can imagine how females feel
Really good park. I would like to see a fence erected alongside the roadway though (for little ones chasing balls etc) and perhaps some triangle shades over the playground area. Should be more of these parks around for families, dogs, and toilets. Open maintained areas that cater for birthdays etc, with parking, activity areas and large open spaces, undercover shading and bonus bbq facilities.
Thanks!
Council have recently invested in new toilets, along with bbq shelters, tennis courts and a dog park make this a nice option away from busy roads, a bus stop at the gates makes it more accessible too.
Nb. As of mid January 2019 the playground was fenced off, possible updated equipment going in?
Amazing place to take your dogs with two separate parks with lots of shade. Easy to use bbq's with a tennis and basketball court as well as a playground for the kids and an oval for the rest of us to kick a footy. All round a great place to have a day out
Lots of roo to be found in this park. Look out for them as you stroll past the dog park up to the look out. Above the lookout is the pistol and rifle range. Respect the red flags if you enter the range
Good playground. Lots of bbq areas. Toilets near by. Lots of parking. Big grassy area with football posts. Also has tennis courts and basketball court. And if your feeling up for a little hike there's a lookout not to far away up past the dog park
Playground, oval, tennis and basketball courts with dog park and walking trails. Also has bbq areas with sheltered seating and toilets.
Took my puppy to check the pet areas I was impressed, plenty of nice people and their dogs, the recreation area was nice bbq and children's areas seemed to be very popular. Well done Playford.
Nice open oval areas, great HUGE 2 sided dog park and cool view from up top at the look out overlooking the park.
The dog park is hands down the best in the northern suburbs. Just a putty you can't see the playground from the dog park.would be great to wear out the kids while wearing out the dog at the sametime
Dog park good, play ground average but the kids enjoyed it.could do with a toilet block.nice walking trails
Great place to take dogs as it caters for large and small dogs (zoned enclosed areas) facilities include Basketball and tennis courts as well as footy oval. Barbecues and playground.
Clean, well maintained and safe. Great to have a separate area for small dogs as my little dog is frightened of larger dogs after being attacked in a different doggy park.
Great place for dog's freedom. Choice of two adjacent fenced areas; small dogs and puppies, or all other dogs. There's a 2km walk for those that wish to climb the hill with or without their best friend. Also, there's a playground for the kids, basketball and tennis courts, and running water with the bbqs. Great park.
Absolutely fantastic dog park, lots of welcoming people and well behaved dogs. Srull get a few humans that refuse to clean up after their best mate. But hey cant help stupid.
This is a lovely park, neat and clean. Unfortunately, when we arrived a small group of boys were trying to damage the shelter, swore at my 5 and 7 year old nephews and threatened me. One even picked up a rock and was going to smash my car. All I did was take my nephews to the park! It is a shame as it is a beautiful spot with walks and a dog park. We will not be returning.
