Jo Gapper Park - Playground, Dog Park, Tennis courts, Hiking Track and Lookout. reviews
63Great park for bbq. Very kid friendly. BBQ's on hand if required. Plenty to do for the big kids too.
Nice walk up to lookout.look over Adelaide suburbs on top of the lookout.lots of different varieties of birds in trees.
The playground is great for the kids, they really enjoyed it apart from all the broken glass that we had to keep the kids away from.
A nice shaded playground with plenty of seating. It has a large grassy area for ballgames. You can also walk up to the lookout and enjoy the view (see photo).
Great fun for the whole family. Our dog loved to have a run and a sniff around the dog park. My kids got to have a play on the playground and we also walked one of the trails up to the lookout. Noticed very clean bbq area and plan on having a BBQ next time we go there
Great park to take your kids, or dogs, or both. Nice little trail to hike when you've finished. My fur babies enjoy the puppy park.
Safe place to take my daughter, go for a walk in the bush, the people that go there are always friendly
Lots of parking 15ish parks, public toilets, more than 1 undercover BBQ, basketball court, tennis court footy oval, playground, 2 dog park cages, and a 4km bush waking track loop
Good local family place for kids parties? Or get together with family and friends. Footy oval, tennis and basketball are there too. Undercover seating for bbq area's.
Playground good size for the kids.
Nice, tidy, good amount of shade.
Other people there seemed friendly
Bit of pooh.but you get that.
Great park for families and dogs. The dog park has 2 sections for all types of dogs. There is a great playground, basket ball ring and tennis court. Walikng trails as well.
Yeah, wow, not been there for a while but the trek and views are totally worth spending a few minutes to regulate your breathing and heart rate.lol:)
Great shaded playground with 2 shaded sitting areas with a BBQ and great oval for kids to kick a ball around
Can't believe I didn't know about this place, it's awesome. Entertain the dog and the kids, perfect. 2 seperate enclosed areas for the dogs if your dog doesn't mix well. Then a playground for the kids. Clean toilets as well. A hidden gem
We thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the lookout with 3 grandchildren & "Evie" the dog. Playground was challenging & enjoyable but unfortunately too many dog droppings in the dog park. What a shame people don't cleanup after their pets & spoil it for responsible pet owners.
Overall a nice outing for the kids during the school holidays, we had our picnic lunch under the shelters provided & there is a bbq in the park.
Amazing location, great big dog park, good play area for kids with a massive playground, then has walking trails that lead up all through the hills onto mountains with views of all of South Australia. Great little location!
Were are full time bush walkers we walk ever where.i lived in Elizabeth since 1956 i didn't know it was there its a short walk but agood one, one thing it take u pass the old Quarry its been there as long as I. REMEMBER.there's historically nothing told about it, like a bit of a sign with story or something. Anyway a good place to spend with the kids.dog dogs. Graham the (Bushwalkers)
A fantastic area for your Dog to burn off that energy while you have a rest.
This multi facility area comes with
A Small dog park
A Large dog park
Lots of bins and doggy bags
Walking trails both hilly and flat
Playground
Oval
Under cover BBQ and seating
Toilets
I would absolutely recommend this area to anybody who wants to get thier dogs socialized without doing much
It’s a nice playground and my daughter enjoyed going on the slide, though it got very uncomfortable when 3 grown men without a child or a pet arrived and just sat staring at us until we left.
The trail walk is lovely. But I will never go back to the dog park. So many irresponsible owners. I've seen dogs with dangerous council collars there (which is illegal). And an unsocial husky harrased and scared my dog within 2 seconds being in there. Managed to bite out a chuck of his hair before I restrained it.
