J.M. Deli reviews
295 stars for the lady that served us, 4.5 stars for the food. Only draw back is the lady that served us was amazing but a couple of the staff looked at us like we had 2 heads and made us feel so awkward. We were so thankful to get served by the lady we did, she was so helpful and even wished us a great trip! Hope she’s getting paid more than the rest.
Definitely a Awesome Triple shot coffee made while I donated my Toy and watched this run leave.these Guys deserve a big pat on The Back for taking their time out to do so
J. M. Deli is a Port Augusta institution - famous for their pastries, cakes and double cut rolls. Friendly staff too.
Great bakery with the usual pies, pasties, sausage rolls but fantastic pre made salads or sandwiches to order. Great helpful staff.
A lovely little locally owned bakery in Port Augusta SA. Great pastries, pies, pasties, etc. Friendly staff and great service

Bloody Lovely Double Cut Rolls
Made by the Best worker
Best place in Port Augusta
What can I say but brilliant. Great food.
Very busy so allow some time to get served. That is a compliment to the business when people are prepared to wait to get decent delicious food
Amazing sausage rolls. Pastry is buttery flakey and on point.
The family loved it so much I went back and bought cakes for morning tea.
Such friendly staff. Strongly recommend (and I’m super fussy)
Such a good little bakery that served a really nice coffee. Perfect travel snack for breakfast on the way through
Absolutely ordinary bakery, with the ordinary pastry, like thousands others all over Australia.
Amazing find while leaving Port Augusta! Excellent salads and sandwiches!
Was the highlight of our visit there! A
Avocado, walnuts, pear & chicken salad with honey mustard dressing! Yummo!
Thank you!
Fantastic double cut rolls! And the best cheese and bacon sausage roll I’ve tasted in Australia. Staff really friendly. Busy spot with locals so they must be onto a good thing!
I was a visitor to Pt Augusta and it was suggested I should tackle one of their pasties. Their range of food looked sensational and the four ladies behind the counter were very busy and friendly. The pasty and the sausage roll? Excellent!
A special bakery. Doesn't look much from outside, but all the products we had were excellent. A gem.
Love it Always Friendly staff And The Sausage rolls and Pies Are the Best Nice and Fresh And The Cakes Are Delicious
Food is good but Staff are slow, rude, abrupt. For example: was in there to just buy a pastie for lunch. Well I waited 10 minutes in the shop (patiently) to be served with only 6 people allowed in the shop due to Covid, that's fine, but while waiting the staff found it more interesting to talk forever to the locals regardless of how many people were waiting inside and outside instead of being aware of the line up, the staff just meanderd on with long conversations with the people they knew with no regards to whom was waiting. In the end when I was finally served I was served by a grumpy old lady that look like she resented me asking for a simple pasty! I don't care if this shop has nice home made food, I won't be back. I've been in customer service all my life and I've never seen anything like the arrogance and contempt that these staff have for irregular customers. Ps. I only live 600 meters from this shop, I think that makes me a local!
Delicious food. Ordering was mildly stressful as the staff are almost yelling at so they can quickly take your order.
Great pies and pasties!
Can get busy.
Was concerned about tourists not adhering to social distancing. Felt very crowded.
