Jasmin Indian Restaurant

Last visit to the Jasmine was 3 years ago just as Covid started we went back this week whilst on holiday and the food was delicious. We had the feed me menu and got to taste a number of dishes all very different. The owner and his staff were lovely and we spent time chatting to him about the restaurant and its very loyal staff. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Adelaide.

Nice atmosphere, great service, amazing food!

We couldn't decide what to order, so we went for their "Just Feed Me" option. From starters to mains, there's not a single dish I wouldn't describe as perfect. It was great value for money.

Hidden Gem. Not obvious from the street. Small doorway hides lovely restaurant. Staff very friendly and attentive. Would say one of the best Indian meals I've had.

40 years legacy in good hands…

Food is incredible. Service is above and beyond.

Each dish we had was an experience.

The BEST Indian restaurant in Adelaide so far….
I’ve been there multiple times and I’ve never been disappointed!
You walk through the door and you can directly feel the atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and very professional, the owners are lovely people as well, you feel that they all care about their customers.
The food is just AMAZING, chicken massala is my number one, with some parathas, delicious recipe! The portions are consistent and service is fast!
It’s a 5 stars and more for me, if you are looking for a place to eat well and not too expensive, stop at the jasmin Indian restaurant and you won’t regret it

Amazing food in a lovely setting, looks so unassuming at street level but when you get into the the restaurant it's cosy and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious

I had worst experience with their service. I tried to book a table for 4 with a baby and they refused to give us a table saying "There won't be anyone with a baby in the restaurant and other people will be there to enjoy their night. " I've been to this restaurant when we didn't have a baby. In other words I can say kids are not welcome at this place.

Not from Adelaide myself, but best Indian I have ever had. Downstairs Entrance doesn't give the place the whole vibe, don't let it scare you off. Amazing service, extra friendly and helpful. Food was quick and delicious. Good wine selection without being over the top.

Paid $30-$40 pp including sides, but not dessert.

We went with very high expectations post seeing the review but utterly disappointed. It serves Indian food but not Indian taste. The food tastes bland and naans were very thick and uncooked.

However the staff was very polite and gentle.

Great food as always and they squeezed me in with no booking. But a later table admitted and the senior male only wearing singlet with hairy shoulders open to everyone, especially many customers who’d dressed up. On exit I mentioned to manager but while embossed no action. The staff set the standard, but not tonight.

We were all really looking forward to dinner, as we have been to Jasmin numerous times before (but not for a few years) and have previously been served excellent food with terrific, mouth-watering flavour and numerous high quality dishes.

The spicy mushroom entree and naan were excellent and the pakoras were good. However we were all underwhelmed by most of the shared mains. Most dishes seemed very overcooked with soggy vegetables (the seasonal vegetable curry) and were plain and lacking flavour. The palak paneer was watery, flavourless and under-seasoned. It tasted as though it had been watered down and the paneer had an unusual texture (as though it had been frozen). I cannot believe that the chef tasted it before sending it out.
There were unpleasant bitter flavours in the the eggplant curry.
The highlight main was the special okra curry, which was fresh, spicy and tasty (more what we would expect from Jasmin).

The table service was as usual of high standard and the atmosphere lovely and cosy but our dinner was severely let down by poor quality food, which we were not at all expecting from Jasmin - we were genuinely surprised and perplexed. There has been some major lapse in quality control in the kitchen. I hope this will be rectified, but for us it was an overpriced below average meal (at over $80/head).
When my friend shared with the waiter that we felt the food was below average he thanked her for her feedback and said we should have mentioned it earlier. He did come over and offer some additional drinks (which I think were to be complimentary) but we declined as we were about to leave and a couple of us were driving.
After our meal last night I can no longer recommend Jasmin.

Restaurant staff are very professional, cordial and quick. The have strong work ethic. The ambiance has a upscale vibe in it. We are quite happy with the food quality, it was freshly served. We took panjabi lamb tandoor and another gravy chicken item with paratha. Quite happy with the overall experience. Will visit again.

Love the atmosphere here. Staff are amazing. Beyond helpful & nice. An unforgettable dining experience for my birthday. Food was delicious & plentiful in our banquet.

Food is brilliant. It’s just very well balanced. Some might find it spicy (me not).
Wines are also successful.

Outstanding dining experience all round. The only thing that could possibly match the amazing cuisine is the courteous and professional staff. We will be back!
Hot tip, try the tandoori mushrooms, I strongly doubt you will regret it

The Food and Service is always Great.

By far one of the best Indian restaurants in Adelaide. Tender meat, perfect naan and delicious dessert and ice-cream! The orange cake was amazing! The atmosphere was unique. It's a great place for a special occasion. Highly recommended!
