This is an amazing spot to enjoy some spectacular Asia cuisine and superb service. The restaurant is easy going and serves some asian favourites with great flavour. The Sanur chicken, dirty duck and Beef Rendang are seriously delicious. If you are really hunger definitely go with the feed me menu. The owners also make the experience really fun. Highly recommend

We stayed in Adelaide for 3 days and the soft-shell crab from this restaurant was the best thing we ate! That's not all - we also got the friendliest service we have ever gotten anywhere! (I've lived 3 years in Melbourne and had to visit Adelaide to get good service xD) Maybe it was our lucky day or maybe they're just always in a good mood since they are open only 4 hours per day: D But honestly, we were standing outside reading the menu and then someone from the restaurant came and asked if we are good and in case we are not up for Malaysian, there is a great pub next door that we could also try. We did end up visiting that pub for a pint but only after we had finished our meal in Hut & Soul. We also ordered the crispy salt and pepper tofu but unfortunately the tofu wasn't crispy at all. I would skip this one next time but would definitely repeat the soft-shell crab! It was great with the coconut rice. For drinks we had the "Traffic Lights" and lychee cider and they were both great. We ended up ordering dessert which we normally don't do but we were in a good mood thanks to the friendly service so why not. For me the pandan coconut crepe was a pass but mister liked it, the coconut lover he is. For me there was too much coconut. The delicate flavor of pandan was overpowered by all the coconut. Also it was pretty small for the price. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, with edible flowers and such. Despite some minuses, the pluses were enough for us to want to return the next day but unfortunately they were not open on a Sunday. However, if we will be back in Adelaide, this is the restaurant of our choice! We want to try the laksa and the avocado fries at least. We did not eat inside the restaurant because it was a warm evening and there was a table available outside, but I'm quite positive that the mood inside would have been good, too. Thanks for providing us a pleasant restaurant experience - seems so so hard to achieve these days!

Love the curry laksa here. Assam laksa also awesome. Used to have a fantastic Sarawak laksa too. Overall a great Malaysian/Singaporean restaurant - one of the few great ones of its kind in Adelaide. Friendly and fast service, and very good in accommodating bookings. Easy recommendation.

OMG! The Enoki mushroom is one of the top 3 things I have ever eaten! I highly recommend to everyone. Also the stuffed tofu was brilliant. Good vegan options. Excellent table service by friendly staff, a must go for anyone looking for a nice dinner.

Had the "feed me" menu and everything on it was great. Lycheemartini and Bali Long Island cocktails great too. Attentive staff, plenty of room and good atmosphere on a Monday night.

Great restaurant! The feed me option is excellent in both quality and quantity of the food and only $40.

20 of us shared the most delicious meal prepared by Hut and Soul: a spectrum of tastes, the likes of which I haven't tasted since my childhood upbringing in Malaysia - the full gamut of authentic sauces, aromas and spices. And beautifully presented at our work by a good friend of the restaurant.

From the moment we sat down we enjoyed our dining experience. The staff knew their menu and were happy to take the time to describe. We ordered a variety and loved every one. The flaming pork looked amazing and tasted great with a few hidden chillies for those that wanted heat. The desserts were large fresh and yummy! My rendang was a little spicy but the beef was tender. I even tried the papaya salad - so much nicer than expected! Toilets clean and fresh, staff wonderful, easy to find. Great place

We were in Adelaide for a few days from WA and this restaurant was by far the best place we ate. The food, service and ambiance was exceptional. I had the duck which was amazing! All in our group raved about their meals. We wanted to come back the next night (Sunday) and gutted they were closed. Would definitely recommend.

Heard from friends the food is good but turned out quite disappointing.
Missus and my mate arrive quite early before 6 pm. There were only 4 tables before us. Ordered one entree and 3 mains. The entree came out at 6.01 pm and than we gotta wait until 6.49 pm to have our Nasi Lemak and 6.56 pm to have the rest.
There were no communication from the staff or the boss whom was going about sending food to the rest of the tables. At least they can inform us that our food will be late or there is a waiting time but no, we were left stupidly sitting on the table waiting for almost 50 minutes.
Food were average only seriously no really worth the long wait. We even have to ask twice for our can of coke.

Really enjoyed all of our meal here, but the stand outs were the triple cooked sprouts (amazing!) and the Hainanese chicken rice

Visited from Perth over the weekend and was very excited to eat here but unfortunately had a few misses with the menu. Ordered the charcoal chicken, mamak mee goreng, gado gado and Ikan bakar to name a few. I would strongly suggest staying clear of the ikan bakar. The fish was overcooked and the sambal was very sour. The servers were great but never once came to check how the food was. On payment I gave them feedback to let them know the fish wasn’t up to expectations and was met with a single sentence of “we will let the kitchen know” no questions on “was it too salty, spicy etc”. I come from a SE Asian background so very aware of what Ikan bakar should taste like and this was probably the worst one I’ve had. Unfortunately the rest of my friends on the table agreed as well and we left half the dish uneaten. Visited on a Monday night so it wasn’t even that busy but wait times for food were slightly long. Sour plum soda also did not taste like sour plum. Apart from that, portions were good and rest of the dishes were yummy but probably wouldn’t be coming back again given the lukewarm response I was given. If you’re going I would avoid any fish dishes they have.
