43Delightful spot in the centre of Adelaide for Japanese cuisine. We had the sashimi and bbq meats. Everything was delicious! Loved the miso eggplant and scallops too.
The quality of the food is great. Giving 3 stars because the whole experience we had was a bit underwhelming. When the hot plate was served there was NO warning, the staff rushed to place it on the center of the table while we were chatting – which was very careless as my face was just 2 inches away from getting burnt. When the meat platters were served - they did not explain which one is which. They just chucked them on our table. It was something nice to try though but not sure if I would come back.
(We also ordered miso eggplant, scallops and baby squids)
Excellent and pretty authentic. Quality of Hida Beef was good. Surprised they even had it! Would come again.
They charged us $32 for water bottles without telling us they were charging us for water? We assumed it was tap water refilled in glass bottles. Normally they would give you the option of tap water if bottled water had a fee.
Meat and sashimi platter were good. But the water was not $32 good. Genuinely feel robbed.
The best beef bbq I’ve had in Adelaide. The meat was so tender and didn’t even need any sauce or seasoning. Be prepared for your clothes and hair to smell strongly of bbq when you leave though!
We were served by Tania tonight and I have to leave a five star review for her. She was super attentive and extremely friendly. She cooked all of our meat for us and told us about the difference. We had an amazing time tonight.
Just had a really nice time here. The quality of the meat is arguably the best in Adelaide. Staff are very attentive and are always nearby. Cooking on the table is fun, especially in a group. Recommend the premium platter to try.
As soon as you order the meat ready for you to cook arrives, service is very fast. Only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the portion sizes are a bit small, mains felt a bit like an entree. But will be back and had a great time.
Have visited Kyoku Yakiniku a handful of times and enjoyed the experience everytime, however tonight’s visit was a bit disappointing…
We’ve visited twice in the past 2 weeks and the sashimi wasn’t quite as fresh, well-cut and melt in your mouth tonight
*2nd visit starts from the agedashi tofu.
Service were not expected and payment are incorrect until we found out the next day.
Samurai Teppanyaki House are much better than this restaurant compare to janpanese restaurant.
A bit pricy but you definitely pay for what you get. Great service and good quality food. The A5 sirloin and deluxe sashimi platter is divine! Would recommend!
Absolutely delicious food, we had a big group and tried a lot of different menu items and all were fantastic. Staff were friendly and helped with the special dietary needs in our group. Highly recommend the yakiniku!
Awesome food and ambience, and staff are really friendly. Highly recommended and will be back here again very soon.hehehe
Update: We can't help but go back again to this wonderful place! Always coming in excited, and going out with happy tummy!
This was our third visit here, and found ourselves consistently pleased with the overall experience. The meats are all so fresh and so tender, just a minute (or less) on each side and it’s BBQ’d to perfection. The staff are friendly and polite, and the prices are quite fair for the location and the food & venue quality. Looking forward to our 4th visit sometime soon)
The quality of meat was of very high standard. Sashimi was also very good. The wait staff were attentive and service was excellent. Highly recommended.
Another destination restaurant ive been curious to try. We got the Australian wagyu hotpot package and it was glorious. Meat had lovely marbling and it tasted amazing. The hotpot broth was slightly on the salty side but it didn't bother us. The veggies were fresh and tasted great as well. I thought the price was resonable considering the cost of wagyu beef. I didnt feel the need to go for the Japanese imported wagyu as I probably wont be able to tell the difference. An overall great experience. One i will want to do again.
The service was fantastic, the A5 meat was like butter melting in your mouth especially the sirloin.that is indescribable. I cant comment personally on the seafood but from my Mrs it was extremely fresh and delicious.
The atmosphere is great too and Parking isn't too bad considering it is the city.
I do feel for a big meat eater it is slightly over priced, but you are there for the experience of high quality meat not to fill your guts! Cooking ur own meat is always fun and they do teach you how to cook such high quality meat.but they do offer to cook for you aswell.overall.amazing experience
It was a great place for a quick meal. Prices starting from $6.80. Nice tasting Japanese cuisine with a good variety to choose from. The matcha soft serve was really tasty. Alcoholic beverages to choose from as well.
Superbly designed for groups get together. Fun BBQ for grilling all the different array of meats. Omg the marbling of the wagyu beef delishThe refreshing sashimi left you speechless. The Japanese whiskey is a must ️
Fresh and good sashimi but the udon was a letdown, soup lacks flavour. Will try the wagyu beef grill next time.
The food was nice but the music was too loud and with the servers wearing masks it was far too difficult to hear what they were saying
