43 We went to Kyoku Yakiniku for their $78 all you can eat buffet and was not disappointed. The quality of the meat was decent and many of the other dishes we tried were also good. However, one thing I wanted to note was that the grill itself was pretty small and the meat took a while to cook. Overall, Kyoku Yakiniku was a good AYCE experience but definitely not the best kbbq spot in Adelaide.
The matcha ice cream is a must try if you visit!
Amazing quality meat. Very friendly service, method for ordering and cooking was great. All you can eat menu was very good. Will return.
Being a tourist man from Melbourne. Food is great, service is great, price is reasonable. 100% back again.
I actually had bad experience with this place every single time I went there but that was tolerable. This time we ordered the buffet and only got 2-3 pieces of karaage chicken (it was cold and not tasty) and some plain rice under the chirashi don (because we were both quite full) left. The owner forced us to finish all the rice before we left otherwise we will have to pay extra for it. Never had this experience in any buffet restaurant before. Will not go back again.
We had the Sukiyaki with a bunch of extras and it was excellent. Good sake selection too. Strong recommendation.
Visited on a Friday so not an all you can eat day and paid a fortune for barely any meat. $30 gave 5 to 6 small thin sliced pieces of meat about the size of a small AirPods case and very thin. The meat would have cost no more than a dollar if I’m being generous. I love a good bbq but come on guys, don’t take us for a ride. Service was great however and no issues with the food but you can’t put the lack of meat for the money down to cost of living.
$ 78 per person buffer is not worth it! Poor quality of meat and seafood. A long waiting period for food delivery. Won't go there anymore!
Paid $150 for for about $50 worth of food, service was garbage, $25 for 6 pieces of meat is a joke, 1st time customer but we would NEVER return
We went to this restaurant for the BBQ buffet. It didn’t disappoint, the food was served to us quick and delicious. However, the exhaust was not strong enough for the bbq, the smoke filled the restaurant. I would not recommend more than three people at a time for this bbq buffet due to the grill pan is really really small for a big table. They should’ve given at least two grill pans for 3+ people. Overall an okay experience, would go back for more. But please fix the exhaust pipe and do consider giving at least two pans for bigger group. Keep it up.
The food is always great quality, the staff are lovely but can be improved with attentiveness. They forget the side dishes and sauces and took so long to rectify.
Although the coal bbq has exhausts directly above it still smoked out the restaurant, not great if you are asthmatic or respiratory issues.
The toilets are roomy and kept clean.
You can’t miss this amazing Japanese restaurant if you are visiting Adelaide city. All the food and drinks are well presented! We had Sashimi platter and Wagyu platter, both are mouthwatering! We would definitely come back again and recommend it!
Food was good. However service was disappointing, took them a long time to notice we were there, took a long time to order and even longer for them to bring us food to cook. Took so long that the coals got cold. Not worth it for the money
Not a good experience! Waited 2.5 hrs for food, waitress repeated order for 5 times. Not worth for the wait!
Very disappointed, waited for 2.5hrs for food, repeated order 3 times, asked by waitress. Witnessed 2 tables left from waiting
Not fresh, not tasty at all, came here on this Monday and had that $200 set meal for 2 ppl made me diarrhoea whole night, even worse than I visited here 2years ago.
One Waitress had a bad breath?
You will have many way better Asian/Korean BBQ choices than this place around Adelaide.
-it seems like all wariness are Chinese not Japanese, so I doubt this place is owned by Chinese owners now.
Overpriced and not "authentic"
Service:
- supposedly authentic japanese restaurant is run by chinese owner and the waiters spoke chinese
- our table was very dirty at the start, when asked to replace the dirty grill which had oil and grease left behind by previous users, the waiter called it "clean"
- waiters seemed like they did not want to work here which can be reflected in the poor service
Food:
- $190 set menu (95pp) food was very low and poor quality, definitely not worth the high price
- seafood was covered and doused with sauces as if to hide the poor quality of the produce, there was no seafood flavour and only taste of sauces
- meat was not A5 quality as advertised
- smaller side dishes felt very cheap and did not make sense, for example "tomatos grapes and cream" which was watery and did not look appetising at all; and "brocollini" which was doused with supermarket sesame sauce and rice seasoning
- food so bad we did not even want to finish or take away even though the price was so high
- several other restaurants in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne offer food of much higher quality for the same price
- food here is worth half the advertised price
The food needs 6 stars. The far gua and truffle fried rice Is to die for. Ways beef was a quality experience. The drinks were not watered down. I will return. Dessert was late though
We had a private dinner for 8 of us, food was delicious as we ordered the set menu $95 per person.
Downfall was the service that we received as one waitress seemed like they did not understand a word of English and when we requested something she just stared and walked off. Then the cashier was utterly rude when we paid for our bill, as we split the bill she rolled her eyes. No matter how good the food is, if the service is poor then I definitely won’t be going back.
This BBQ and Japanese food restaurant is great. Suit to couples and groups for dining in. Staffs are helpful and kind. Me and my friend ordered deluxe wagyu platter and kyoku premium sashimi platter (GF) which were delicious and enough for 2 people
Fan of waygu can't miss this place. Charcoal bbq. They don't have A5 when we went but Australia is good enough. Nice service.
