The Havey has always been a pub that prides itself on it's food, the service is really good, I had the vegan schnitzel which could have been a little more crunchy on the outside, great place for a Sunday recovery lunch

Very nice. From the moment we walked into the dining room we were greeted with a warm, friendly welcome. Even though the hotel was very busy, our drink order was taken and delivered promptly as were our meals. The food was great and the prices very reasonable. I would happily recommend this venue to anyone looking for delicious food, an excellent selection of drinks, wonderful service and friendly staff. A marvelous experience. Keep up the great work!

I had a beef burger and my wife had a steak sandwich. Both were served quickly (about 6pm on a Wednesday) and came with a huge amount of hot chips. Overall there was too much food but it tasted great. Both meals were well constructed and the steak was not chewy (like you often get in pub steak sandwiches) and of a good size. Friendly staff. The decor is dated but I think that the point - it looks almost exactly like it did when I visited there in the 80s as a student.

Clean and friendly staff but it's not clear it's bar service untik you ask, and portions don't appear great. Suggestions are they need smaller plates to emphasise your meal or bigger portions.

We used the upstairs functions room for a party. Well priced drinks package and great service, would recommend for a birthday or other type function.

Really nice food and quality of the venue. We're able to fit in a large-ish group with no troubles.

Very ordinary pub, it's clean, but the bathrooms were a bit on the smelly side, Wouldn't go back.

This is a great pub great value for food and drinks it's the life of Hutt St and the staff are very friendly

Very consistent and really good pub food that will rival most dedicated restaurants in their own particular specialty!

We were told we could get something to eat at 5.00 o'clock then they said 5.30 still couldn't get any food but a bus load of people turn up and they get food and we still couldn't get any so we left and as for Covid rules there was none at all.

Natasha was excellent her bar tending was next level and she was extremely polite. Would recommend

Simply awful tasteless chicken schnitzel and mashed potato and gravy. Seriously, if a pub can't do a good tasty schnitzel and mashed potato - what hope is there? The food was bland and extremely unsatisfying. My friend had the chorizo and halloumi and it was also tasteless. Why not spend a bit more on the products you buy, charge a few extra dollars and serve up delicious tasty food like pubs used to do years ago?

What a waste of time. Whoever trained some of these guys should re-evaluate their management skills. If this were my business I'd be concerned.

Super fast service of meals. Chicken burger was tasty but lots of slaw made it a bit sloppy. Salt pepper squid seemed like it was the standard frozen stuff like at a lot of pubs. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Served me the end cut of the sirloin (porterhouse steak) terrible, chewy and unedible fat. Sorry but really not good happy.

Great to visit on a Monday night, $10 schnitzels when you buy a drink. What a bargain! And great quality too. Come on down!

We had lunch at the Havelock yesterday and were really impressed with the quality of the meals and the friendly service. The vegetarian lasagne was truly delicious, rivalling any Italian restaurant that we have been to.

It’s a great venue. Service is excellent.

Have eaten here a couple of times now. This time, had the Thursday special ‘pint and parmy’ for $17 - was excellent value. Decent sized lunch!

Great place to go to network too - always bump into someone you know.
