Haigh's Chocolates reviews
50Haigh's chocolates are world class, and it's great being able to go and watch them being made when you go to buy some.
I thought everyone was overhyping this chocolate but can confirm it's bloody good.my favourites are the freckles.they're so moundy and delicious.
Sorry but I felt very intimidated by your security guard who refused my entry even after I offered to show my genuine medical mask exemption. Very discriminatory in my personal view and you have lost my business permanently.
Having been a great customer of Haigh's it comes with great disappointment that i will no longer support a business that discriminates! If i could of given 0 stars i would've.
My granddaughters and I had a factory tour. The woman who took the tour was fantastic and very happy to answer the sort of questions young children ask.
The Staff were so helpful and Curteous helping me with gift hampers. I've actually the first time I've been there and I definitely recommend it. Thank you Hayley for your help and the extra Chocolate. It was yummy?
First time l have been to Haighs in over 2 years. Love the design and layout of the shop. Plus whatever you buy from Haighs you always get a little sample chocolate.
Haighs what can l say it is Adelaide and South Australia
Such a welcoming place! We did the factory tour, not only because of the free chocolate! The factory has such a real, family-owned, -vibe around it and that is not only because the tour guide knew the names of all the workers, it just feels like that their story/history is not only a marketing-trick but something everyone there is actually living.
Uh and the chocolate is super yummy too! (You can buy seconds there what makes this shop even better)
Ever since i took this factory tour, all I can think about is quitting my job, moving to Adelaide and working in the Haigh's factory so I can eat all the coconut rough and chocolate macadamias.
The tour itself was quite short (there tends to be less work on a weekend, and the later you go). Jess was very lovely, and even called ahead of time to let us know that it was a quiet morning in the factory.
There weren't that much choice by way of seconds chocolate to purchase, but it's definitely still worth a visit.
A must visit destination for any chocolate lover. Factory tour is quite short but informative. Interesting to see the chocolates being hand made then packed. Shop has the full range available to purchase including a small selection of seconds. A fun activity for those with children. Highly recommended.
The tour was wonderful, the factory happen right be in full production so lots to watch and our guide was very bubbly and happy. Thanks!
Great taste enjoyed the free tour. Price was a bit steep but they had a good seconds selection for people who don't want to spend too much overall great family experience.
If you are a chocolate admirer like me, then Haigh’s Chocolates Visitor Centre is a restraint to deliver you a celestial experience like never before as you get to enjoy special chocolate tastings, witness the making of chocolates, and delve into the history behind Haigh’s Chocolates, which was founded in 1915 by Alfred E. Haigh and is Australia’s oldest family-owned bean-to-bar chocolate making company.
Chocs great but not the way the counter service was organised. Yes it's Easter & everyone including me went berserk. However Haighs at Greenhill Rd should have checkout isles for bulk purchases & express lanes during this time. The store is big enough to accommodate this. Here some of us were lining up with our half a dozen or less purchases & had to wait for some ladies that were almost buying out the store as if chocolates were going out of fashion! The chocolates would have melted by the time we got to the counter to pay for them.
I love Haighs Chocolate.
Sure, they are quite expensive.
I'm keen on the Dark Chocolate 70% Cocoa based Pastilles.
However, they only come in small packages. Why Mr Haigh?
Dark Chocolate is best for people for a host of health reasons.
So, how about some variety with the 70% Dark Chocolate?
EG. Coated Almonds.etc.
They'd be a winner for sure!
Great South Australian Icon
Staff always professional and very high standard of service.
Katherine was happy to make suggestions for my mothers day box of assorted counter chocolates which was a major bonus
We visited on the Thursday before good Friday and found their covid management really efficient. There was a queue outdoors but it moved quickly, was almost entirely in shade/under cover, and ensured there wasn't a crowd indoors.
The best chocolate ever. Our son in Tassie really misses it, so he was stocking up before returning
Best chocolate in town. Line up to get in was proof enough. Great Christmas present for those people who have everything.
Only very little chocolate flavour when I tried a piece of 70% chocolate chip but only full of sweet flavour. For milk chocolate, it's more awful. It's not bad for kids or people who don't have high expectations. But with that price, I would not recommend that.
