Gyoza Gyoza reviews
55Inside or outside, snack or dine, they have a lot to offer. Sometimes it's just a litre of green match beer and a matching matcha soft serve ice cream. If you're hungry the menu is vast and delicious. I don't get back here often enough.
I been there so many time service and food keeps getting worse fish was so bad the staff not treating her trainee well come on you also not good enough how ever look at how you treat her.
I went there last night one of the girl not the trainee she so rude not polite. I’m alone and paid more than $120 but she keep charged me for only container is the first time that I get charged to be honest. I don’t mind because I understand how the business but please treat your colleagues and customers better you r beautiful but how you did that make you look very bad.
So amazing. The drinks were so good. The ice cream amazing. The food presentation elite and delicious
And Kanako was an outstanding waitress.
Legit so kind and wholesome.
A credit to the restaurant
Over priced serving sizes and quality not that great. Which is disappointing as this place used to be good. Unfortunately we won’t be going back as there are so many better options in the area.
Photos… vegetable tempura $14, chicken yakisoba (mostly cabbage) $19.
Don’t waste your money or time, go yo sushi train for a third of the price! Very disappointed on all levels. The place was understaffed, the ambience is like a food hall. Food was very disappointing. Don’t have a photo menu if the meals come out and underwhelm. I thought we’d been given the wrong dish as it looked nothing like pork belly soba noodles. My unagi stone pot was micro sized with barely 100 grams of eel on dry rice. We left hungry after spending $70. I informed the staff I was very unhappy but they charged me full price anyway.
Food is NOT GOOD and TOO SMALL with the EXPENSIVE price. Their ice cream is okay. However, I am not happy with their bad customer service. Their manager was not even listening to our feedback and treated us rudely. I truly think they are overrated with 4+ star. Will never come back.
I had half & half Icecream which has rose and macha flavour.both flavours were so beautiful.especially I haven't tried rose flavour somewhere else before, was amazing.
I often visit there to try icecream, always happy with that
Very poor service. Waited half an hour to even be served for drinks. Some food was great some was very average
We love Gyoza and this Japanese gyoza bar serves more than 9 flavours of pan fried/ steamed gyoza? ? The cheesy gyoza was AMAZING we loved it a lot and the mini burger with lobster salad was also a good choice if you don’t want a heavy meal
We then wrapped up with a green tea based, green tea, rose, lychee, Sakura mixed soft serve on top and a green tea parfait
A pleasant meal in nice surroundings, with fair service and very reasonable price (At a time when there were no other diners.) The pork and garlic Gyoza were enjoyable, with a generous garlic kick I was looking for…. The amount of filling was on the light side. Chicken Karaage portions were large, nicely spiced coating that combined very well with the mayo; and the ebi was in a light tempura batter and accompanied by a tasty dipping sauce. Japanese (genuine) wait staff were helpful, suggesting that an order of 10 Gyoza might be too much (& she was right) …. Clean and contemporary Japanese inspired decor. There’s a lot to like …. Particularly if your looking for a genuine Japanese restaurant…. It just doesn’t quite hit a wow moment, though the price is very reasonable.
I enjoyed their desserts, namely, the Japanese Style Parfait. The strawberry and traditional parfaits are my favourites. Personally an 8/10 place for desserts in Chinatown.
Service was terrible meals were half hour between ours and friends at the same table, (the orders were taken at the same time) drinks took ages to come out (at the end of our meals!) And the fruit jug that was supposed to have ingredients in it didnt have the toppings!
Meals were not as they appear on the example pages, lotus chips over cooked, gyoza pork were cold on the inside bordering frozen still, chicken wings over cooked, one cheese scallop of the pair was a half a scallop, the pork noodles had 4 small slithers of pork no larger than your little finger nail, the squid was the only dish that was fair priced and tasted good, hence the 1 star.
The prices are absolutely over priced.
We dont go out to waste good money on under average food.
We expect to get what we pay for
Worse of all. Anyone serving cold Gyoza in a speciality restaurant should be utterly ashamed. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.
This place has been having understaffing issue for a long time. We were sitting at the table for nearly 25 minutes to be finally served. And further waiting for the food to come out. We saw a couple walked out after waiting too long for their food and we nearly did too. My son was insisting on eating there and that’s why we stayed.
It was busy with one big group of people being the reason of all the delay, but as a restaurant on a Friday night, they were not prepared and understaffed. We have been to another restaurant a couple of weeks ago with full booking (so full that they had to turn a few customers away), only one floor staff and ONE chef in the kitchen. We were served and received our food within half an hour! We had 5 people and ordered a lot of food including a live lobster! All food were served within 45 minutes.
Goyoza should really consider their staffing problem and put more people on for the price they charge. Food was not cheap but the service was.
Had a terrific lunch today at Gyoza Gyoza.
Chicken wings were fantastic, with charcoal squid. We now have a new favourite place to eat in town.
Absolutely delicious okomomiyaki, great gyoza and udon! And really friendly service. Great selection of Japanese beer and saki too. Highly recommended!
Service is a bit slow.large restaurant but not enough staff serving customers.
Great place to grab a quick bite and hang out with friends. They have a lot of drinks and small Japanese dishes.
Enjoyed their desserts. The iced hojicha and soft serve taste amazing.
Really nice and friendly service.
Will be visiting again to try more dishes.
Food took an hour to make when it’s only a bar food. Water wasn’t served after an hour as well. We left hungry and disappointed.
Staff were very friendly, food was delicious and the range was extensive. Food came out quickly - very reasonably priced. Cocktails amazing! Definitely recommend
Had a lovely meal here last night. All dishes were well priced, except for the sashimi which offered only a little for too many$. Lovely ambience and good service, although it was a quiet night so not sure how it goes when busy. Will definitely return. Octopus tentacles were excellent.
Great fresh Japanese food reminiscent of visits there. Sashimi very clean and tasty. Gyozas were solid and salads very nice. Some hybrid dishes like soft shell crab sliders and cheesey options were also great and match a beer and other drink were great
