Great Eastern Hotel reviews
49 Only giving 3 stars because just had a drink here.
Restaurant prices looked a little on the expensive side for a country type pub.
Outdoor eating area was decent
Pick of the best in the hills. Never disappoints. Excellent quality and whilst the prices remain I will always be back.
Wednesday - Snitzel night at the GE
Swiss, nachos and pepper snitzel
Sorry we had already started to eat when I remembered to take the photos so chips are looking a bit on the low side️
Great Eastern Hotel is a long estabished watering hole at the round about on the corner of North Tce and Junction Rd, Littlehampton. The original building with thick walls is cool in summer and has fire places to sit around in winter. A games room and drive through to make purchases is available. The renovated dining room with large north facing windows overlooks a small park. A large carpark is availble. The hotel is popular on Friday nights and weekends.
Quiet pub for locals with a front deck roadside that gets a bit of afternoon sun. Solid range of mainstream lagers.
Service poor. Meal over an hour wait and then over cooked.
In fairness not charged for drinks due to tardiness.
Food is so yummy. For the price and quality it is well worth it. Seems to be my go to place. Keep up the good work!
Totally disappointed in our meals tonight. Came to celebrate what would have been Barrie's 81st BDay, not one meal was enjoyed. Order's were mixed up (salad not veggies, mash not chips), meals burnt, drinks not what we ordered. Beer's poured with no head.
Ok the rib eye fillet was supposed too be a 500gm steak but I can assure you it was one tiny bit of beef for the exorbitant price of $38.00.fair shake people will say the veggies were not bad at all
Maple glazed pork belly was delicious! Falling apart and perfect!
Will be back just for that!
Awesome schnitzel. Biggest beef schnitzel I have had in years with stacks of gravey and veg. The cellar room is excellent and perfect to run meetings of dozen or so.
Comprehensive range to choose from the menu. I chose the kangaroo and it was cooked perfectly. The service was friendly.
Food was fantastic, good service but not enough staff. Went to play pokies but ATM was turned off & staff to busy to help. We had 3 courses & wine, would have had more but all staff did not make any suggestions
I do not recommend the great eastern. Been a local there for years and one bad experience has been all it has taken for me to never go back. Very unhappy.
This hotel owner needs to watch a few Gordon Ramsay episodes and employ a Chef. Quite expensive for what you get and very average. Dining out needs to be a memorable experience and this place was but for all the wrong reasons. It was easy to get a table and now I know why. Won't be going back in a hurry.
Had a lovely meal at the hotel. We're able to get a table. Only about 2 other table's at lunch time. So great place for going if from the city and out for a drive.
The food was very nice and they also had a great selection, the only issue was how long it took for the food to come out but I somewhat understand why that mightve happened.
The actual hotel was ok. But the cabins had stuff missing. No dryer a microwave without the cooking glass tray. No ironing board or iron. No outside bbq. No chairs in the pool to relax on.
Good service and decent meals. This pub is my local while my actual local is being renovated and we have been quite happy with the service over the years! Great local wine range too which is appreciated.
