Nice looking hotel to have lunch in, with a sea view. Only two vegan options on the menu. So I went with the Caprese Bruschetta Salad. Vegan option. Described as this “heirloom cherry tomatoes, red onion, bocconcini cheese, basil, toasted sourdough in olive oil and balsamic glaze’.
What came out was two pieces of sourdough with some halved cherry tomatoes on top, a few red onions strips and a small bit of rocket for garnish. No other salad. No balsamic or any kind of dressing whatsoever. So dry and boring. It’s so easy to make amazing vegan meals these days, so this was a very disappointing and expensive meal. Cost me $19 for a couple pieces of bread and some cherry tomatoes.

Had dinner there last night, and the Lamb Ragu Pasta was absolutely fantastic! Shredded Lamb with Linguini in an incredibly rich tomato sauce. Beautiful modern setting across from the jetty. We'll be back!

The Grange Hotel is hit and miss but mostly a thorough disappointment, being a local we now just go to the Grange kiosk which is more expensive but better. Management either don’t care about lifting the standard at the Grange Hotel, or have no idea how to. The food is average at best, expensive for what it is and service is equally as average, they do have some nice staff though. No music, no atmosphere. The set up of the Hotel is woeful. The Gaming room takes up prime real estate at the front of the Hotel, which should be dedicated to restaurant and bar patrons to capitalise on the sea views. The outside area is tiny, and when busy its hard to access the tiny tables which are jammed in behind a balustrade on a tiny deck. The architect who designed this should be out of work forever, as I’ve never seen such a terrible waste of space and a seaview. The upstairs balcony is perplexingly only used for functions, and would be an amazing space to serve patrons and could really lift this Hotel out of the embarrassing rut that its firmly placed itself in. As far as seaside hotels with potential go, this is really a pathetic effort. It would be great if a new owner/manager could get hold of this place and make it what it could be.

Food was good service also good. My only complaint was our food came out in dribs and drabs by the time the last meal came out the first person had nearly finished theirs

A unique location friendly staff and a great menu. Opposite the
Grange jetty for a stroll out to view the bay.

Me and the wife popped in for a quick lunch. Very nice feeling to the place, and the service was great.
Plenty of food on the plate and left full.
Only one thing I would question is
I ordered boned out chicken buffalo wings. I don't think it was wings but breast shaped like wings.
It was nice, but I prefer the tenderness of the wings.
My wife had fish n chips and enjoyed it.
Do yourself a favour and go check it out

Probably the worst dining experience I am likely to experience this year.

Attended with 4 others for dinner. The staff were next to useless. Was advised that there was a 15% surcharge due to it being a public holiday …. The surcharge is only to cover extra wages, which on a Sunday public holiday does not apply and therefore the charge should only apply the next day when staff are indeed paid extra.

Waited 20 minutes for a wine and went to ask where it was only to be told it was on the way and they “were very busy” as the manager stood and filled water bottles laughing with another employee.

I took the opportunity to raise the public holiday surcharge with the “manager” at this stage and was told it was a public holiday and that’s why they were charging the 15% … I attempted to ask why given the surcharge is to cover additional wages (which there was none) only to have some rude waitress continually interject. I politely told her that I was only interested in speaking to the manager and that it was nothing to do with her which only caused the manager to get his apron in a knot and he promptly told me he was canceling our food order. Not sure why, but needless to say we weren’t going to hang around. The wine had come out during this time and was wrong anyway.

Toilets were absolutely disgusting. Dirty, paper towel everywhere, sh*t smeared on bowls and clearly had been there for some time.

The manager clearly couldn’t manage. It was not busy, he was just overwhelmed when questioned about the questionable practices of the hotel and should not be running a licenced venue.

Went to The Grange Hotel with a work colleague today for lunch and we eat out very regularly, like 5 times per week. I had the Thai Beef Salad which was just simply amazing with the flavour, quality of the meat was impeccable as was the sauce, just incredible. My colleague had a chicken schnitzel as he does everywhere and commented to the floor staff in someone called, Kirsten on the amazing service and quality of food. Thanks to The Grange Hotel!

40th Birthday celebrations on the balcony upstairs was a special evening, watching the sunset with family and friends was a delight.

We came on a Sunday and arrived at 1pm for lunch for a party of 2 people with a baby at tow. Upon our arrival we were informed that wait times will be longer than usual and expectedly it will be 30-45mins. After an hour of waiting I approached the staff whom said they were expecting longer than usual wait times and it should be not much longer. A further 15mins past and the food hadnt arrived. I spoke to the manager and they checked with the kitchen advising it will be 5 mins. We ordered a steak and a salad. After a further 20mins of waiting, the food did not arrive. There were many tables around us seated after us with their food on their table. We are of ethnic background and felt that if this was not welcomed at this venue then we would have appreciated to be advised so rather than having our family time wasted. After nearly 1hr and 40 mins of waiting, we couldn’t wait any longer with our baby so had gone up to the counter, informed of our dissatisfaction to the manager with no empathy and paid for our drinks and left. Ideally this wasn’t the experience I wanted especially for a local pub with a great location but unfortunately this venue had left us with a bad experience

8 of us. Good service, good food, prices pretty good. So why only 3 stars…. Poor lighting over the tables by the windows and staff pressured us to order desserts because the kitchen was closing at 9: 00. Not many ppl there. We left about 9: 30.

Disgusting, refused service. All I wanted was a nice pint with the boys and I was denied that privilege. Never going there again!

Very nice ambience, I really enjoyed my chicken parmigiana with a craft beer on tap and fish and chips is absolutely huge! The most impressive fish and chips in town!

Not recommended. No loyalty to the community or to their employees. Owners impolite and a bit sweaty.

Having a Thai beef salad was not that good and I would not call it a Thai beef salad!
And the dips were very ordinary, bread was okay, but the service was probably the best thing going for it. Pretty disappointed!

Food was nice but there wasn't much service or attentive staff. Had to call them over a few times.

Lovely views of the Grange jetty and foreshore.
First time eating here.
Lovely meals which makes the trip here worth it.
Great affogato too.
Clean premises
Parking can be a bit of a nightmare so make time in advance
Well done.
