Gloria Jean's Coffees reviews
38 To charge extra for cream when the drink is supposed to have it is just a rip-off.
I get charged people for having ice cream. But it's false advertising because your coffee doesn't look like the photo, and I want it to look like what is advertised and you dont have it advertised. You're charging extra for cream and ice cream.
You're just trying to make a profit you and colonnades rip off's
Coffees were cold which mean around 40deg and vanilla slides looks three days old plus danish very unusual look.
The food was terrible! Stone cold and scrambled eggs and bacon came from the microwave! We asked for extra hot coffee and it was cold so took it back and asked for extra hot and when they brought it back they had heated it up in the microwave! We know this because they brought the half drank cup back!
My friend went for job interview. They asked her to come for an unpaid trail shift for a cafe all rounder role. But mentioned us it’s one of the worst experiences she had during the trail shift. Instead of asking her to show her barista skills and many other customer service skills they made her to do all the cleaning all the which they haven’t cleaned for a long time. She did request the both owners who are ladies that she want to make coffees but the moment our friend entered the shop they ask her to start doing dishwashing for the whole shift all the stuff which the owners haven’t cleaned for a long time. The job description they mentioned doesn’t match with the jobs our friend has been asked to do during the unpaid trail shift. I request if anybody going for the trail shift or job interview please prepare yourself for all these and enter this place for a job. I did work in hospitality for a longtime and I have not seen anyone taking advantage of new people who are clearly looking for a job and she has been informed after the shift she will receive a 2week roaster but no communication received. I would not recommend this place for a job until they learn to treat employees as per employee standards and government laws.
Had a fantastic experience, staff were very helpful and friendly. Coffee and food was great and delicious especially the carrot cake. Place was very clean and nice to sit in and do my work. Thanks you guys; highly recommended!
I gave 3 chances to this café but they failed it all 3 times. Customer service is poor, no smile etc. 2 times I was overcharged ($6 for a small latte with regular milk in the past, today I paid $6.4 for the same while it was supposed to be $4.8). And once I was served with a cheesecake that looked and tasted 5-7 days old.
Unlikely I would be back. There many better cafés nearby.
I really like Gloria Jeans coffee, but after seeing people who ordered after me receive their orders I enquired as to mine. They couldn't find it on the list, so the girl just said she would make it.then proceeded to make two other orders. Asked for my money back and left. Realised after I had left that she gave me back less than I had paid! Won't return to this store.
We have been there twice in the last few months. Each time we have had mugs of hot chocolate.
Both times they tasted like watered chocolate, very little milk used.
Very disappointed, we won't go back.
Terrible service today no coffee arrived at table as 6 others had theirs asked where’s mine. Was told it had been delivered to our table someone else had it as they all had there’s in front of them that was not so one was missing
He was reluctant to help as he was adamant it had been delivered to our table so I said does that mean l don’t get a coffee he reluctantly made one for me when checking bank statement was amazed to see I had been charged $7.21 for a small lactose free coffee
We were all upset by the arrogant attitude towards our group mistakes are made which we accept but to be treated like that was horrible and so expensive
Popped in for brunch. While the food was good & coffee hot, to see the lady sneeze in her hand, wipe it on her clothes then pick up plates of food to serve was a definite turn off. Not eating there again.
Waited 35 mins for a takeaway iced coffee. Got my money back after being told it would be another 10 mins. Didn't want to refund, arguing.
They got our order mixed up, very slow service for a pie and coffee! Nearly missed an appointment because they were slow
Brought sweets and coffee before hot food wanted to take our plates before we finished eating too expensive for quality of food and service
Footpath blackboard said ham and cheese croissant and small coffee $12. I went in to order and the price quoted was $13.75. I pointed to the blackboard and was told that it was out of date. I’ll let you work out if they deserve your patronage!
Order a toastini and can't believe such a tiny thing worth 12$. Should smash a footlong subway on the face next time
I didn’t like their costumer service and I didn’t like the coffee that they make as well, I ordered a cheesecake and they gave me stale cheesecake, not recommended and I won’t go there anymore
Had an iced coffee “voltage”
Started with a nice flavour and topped with nice ice cream but it did seem to have a lot of sugar added to it that as the drink went down it got sweeter and sweeter.
Just ordered a chicken pesto tostini, it was the most laughable thing I have ever ordered. It was tiny and tasted stale. Compared to the harbour town store which is so much bigger and better quality I feel offended and will never order from here again
I love going to Gloria Jean's at Glenelg, the Gloria Jean's staff are very friendly, they have a lovely service, Gloria Jean's at Glenelg are my main coffee shop.
Waited over 30 mins, and Paid almost $16 for bacon and eggs on toast.
The bread was not toasted, only warm, not buttered, and only one slice of bread. One slice bacon and 2 poached eggs with 6 spinach leaves. Very bland.
Waited another extra 5 mins for our hot chocolate.
Won't go back.
