44 One of the best takeaway Indian meals we have had. Owner took care to keep food in optimal shape right up to the point I arrived to pick up the food. Curries were kept warm in a thermal bag, and only on arrival at the restaurant were the other items like the papadums, tandoori chicken salad, naans and rotis added to avoid sogginess. So the dishes were all still at optimal temperature and texture when we sat down to enjoy them.
The curries were all outstanding. Generous, well cooked portions of meat, that were flavorful, moist and tender, each in a curry base with distinct spice notes and just the right amount of seasoning (unlike many other takeaway experiences, where sauces are often too salty after boiling down through the day). Dahl and naans were also great.
Will definitely order again.
Mouth watering spicy, truly amazing.
You should visit this place to taste original Indian food.
Just fantastic.
Lovely place, good music and food was really tasty with very good portion. Nice helpful staff as well. Highly recommended ️
Bishal has a great hospitality etiquette, chef is consistent with the taste and quality, ambience is just amazing.
Every time been there, always come out with the great feelings.
Lovely staff and flavorsome food. We visited this place for some spicy food, it never disappointed. Serving size is generous. Tandoor platter is quite big for the price. Momos are a must try. Even the drinks menu is one of the least expensive we tried in Adelaide. Chicken biryani is ok with too much spice even for a medium level. Roti and lamb Rogan Josh are delicious. Worth a visit if you are after some Indian cuisine near Adelaide CBD.
Food was amazing and hospitality was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our party organised at Foodwood.
They open until 11 and take orders until 11pm which is best part of this restaurant.food was really nice and staff were friendly.
Orderd Dal Makhni, Saag Paneer and Murgh Methi Malai (with just color, no methi taste at all), with naans and rotis. Very bad taste, breads were rock hard. Dal makhni was pathetic. Bad experience. I had to leave my plate like this as shown in the picture. Had to throw most of it
The name makes it sound like a 3rd party grocery store but it's a very nice restaurant with amazing butter chicken.
Disappointed with the momo that I ordered. Not enough fillings inside to enjoy the taste and had a stale smell somewhere.
Fantastic restaurant! The staff are great and the food is amazing. We will definitely be going back.
Excellent food.very helpful reception staff and parking at the back.you guys rock.luv those momos/dumplings
Glad that I find this place ~ tasty food and good service~ u can tell staff make efforts in the details
The best Indian takeaway I've had for awhile. Care in every dish and able to supply vegan options. Well worth stopping in here, thanks
Amazingly delicious food with incredibly friendly and helpful staff and owner, who always has a great story behind his delicious menu items.
Five stars. I have just food my new 'go to' place for an Indian. Forced, by lockdown, to go for the take-away option this was delivered on-time, hot, fresh and tasty.
The curries were great. I went for the chicken vindaloo.my wife the chicken tikka masala. Good sized portions and the vindaloo quite hot. We also had roti each and an onion bhaji.
The stand-out for me was the vindaloo chutney! Awesome. Keep it up Foodwood and we'll be coming back for a long time.
Great new addition to Goodwood Road. Large brand-new interior. Well presented website and booking system. $10 BYO. Friendly staff and excellent food. Well worth a visit.
Here again (jun 21). So impressed. Elegant complex flavours. Recommend +
Wonderfully delicious Nepalese and Indian cuisine, light and subtle flavours. Great service and definitely worthy of 10 stars. Unfortunately, the chef is married. I asked
I am very sorry for late feedback.
Had dinner on Mother’s day with family. Had an awesome experience.
As it was a Mother’s day there were so busy. Every single table order was running late but the amazing thing was they didn’t give up. They were running around and trying to do whatever they can do to make customers happy. I really appreciate all efforts u guys had put on such a busy night.
We have ordered chicken tikka, seek kabab, beef dhanshak, mushroom baigan masala, biriyani rice, kids butter chicken, mango lassi and few naan breads.
All of the food were amazing. Seek kabab wasnt best best. Chicken tikka were juicy and well cooked. Beef in Beefdhanshak was nice and tender but lack of gravy portion. I would like to say it was bit dry for the curry dish.
First time tried mushroom and baingan (eggplant) combination. It was tasteful.
Loved biriyani rice. So flavorful and yes I can tell u that it was done in “Ghee”. Highly recommended.
Butter chicken for kids had such a great taste with balanced spices level.
We have got served some complimentary desserts (kulfi- Ice-cream) as they were running late to serve food. It was great.
Unfortunately I lost pics for my food so cant upload more pics.
Owner/manager was nice and polite.
Definitely we will go back to this place to try some more flavorful dishes.
Thanks FOODWOOD.
Wow, I love the food here and the service! The spiciness of the dishes could have been toned down for me though as it effected my overall enjoyment of the meal?
