Very busy place, but the fish and chip are fantastic
They even have potato cakes on the menu and not potato fritters.

Friendly Staff, Excellent Food, Very accomodating for Dietary requirements and a great choice for office/ big orders.

We live way too close to this place. Love walking here, sitting outside with a drink and some food.

Food is so good! Always fresh, always quality. Good selection of different tasty salads that are much more thoughtful than the usuals in a takeaway shop. Generous serving sizes and friendly service.

Delicious gluton free fish & chips, well priced & great customer service. Also popped into the cupcake shop two doors down & owned by the same couple, purchased a gluten free mango sorbet, yum.

I had the Portuguese grilled chicken burger and it was an absolute killer! Best grilled chicken burger I’ve ever had! So delicious. I’ll be back

The firm has headed here for take out a dozen times or more and it has always been a fantastic experience. The quality of the food is excellent and a lot more variety than the average fish and chip shop, definitely recommend giving them a try!

Firstly Hyde park is a gorgeous location and Fishout of water is conveniently located. The food was really nice, tried the hamburgers and the fish, butterfish and whiting. I only rreduced the star rating as I found it to be a bit pricey. Staff were friendly and helpful. Worth a visit.

Would never go here again. They don't use hair nets or gloves yet have been cleared for covid restrictions. There all young and put there hands in the salad not use a spoon. Made me vomit with the amount of oil that was in my hot dog and the chips were disgusting.

Fish massively overcooked dry, chips were not great either how this place won any awards is beyond me or maybe won the awards and just living off that, need to pick up their game

Food is good and we often Uber from this restaurant but at a time were they say that they're less busy than usual they messed up our order and made us wait almost double the time.we ordered 2 hours before I had work but now it looks like I wont be able to have it until I finish.food is really nice and gluten friendly which is why we like the place but this was a really mediocre experience I cant lie

Yet another outstanding takeaway meal, Portuguese Chicken Burger, Grilled Barramundi with olive oil and sea salt, Fisherman’s Basket Grilled, Fish Burger Grilled with a serving of the yummy crispy chips.

Wonderfully welcoming and happy staff. My large and complex order was taken with ease, with helpful suggestions, and processes very quickly. The food is always great and I highly recommend the hot chips.

Can't recall the last time I've been to an establishment which was as busy as Fish Out of Water was.and yet the service was still top notch. That Uber Eats notification buzz kept going off haha yet my take-away order (which was quite large) was ready on time and delivered with a smile. Super impressive. Thanks guys for such a great first time experience!

One of the better fish & chip shops in Adelaide. Generous serve, right price, fresh product/s, awesome salad bar, dynamic menu and friendly staff including millenials that give too hoots! Cannot praise the guys here enough.

Highly recommend the delicious "Vicious burger" with marinated Eggplant, capsicum, olives, swiss cheese in Turkish bread + yummy sweet potato chips!

The best fish and the best chips in SA. We found this shop a year ago and then lost its location. We have been looking for it ever since and we just fount it. It is just as good now as it was then. It is really the only place to go if you want the best and to have it prepared the best and with people who take a pride in being the best. Please keep on keeping on.

A little disappointed. Our grilled barra were a little dry. No complaints about battered fish or potato cakes.
