Findon Hotel reviews
42Great meal, pizza & garlic bread absolutely beautiful. A very busy night, with most people not booking, as we didn't so didn't mind the wait. Bar staff very accommodating, as was the kitchen for dietary retirements. The play area is a massive bonus. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys for a lovely night.
I am currently sitting at my table.still waiting for my partners salt and pepper squid that we ordered an hour and 30 minutes ago.my rare steak took an hour and 20 minutes.the gentleman Jayd, at the bar who was serving was polite and sympathetic but come on.what a joke.
We went to Sunday lunch with a largish pre book table. Service was a little out of order and the kitchen was bringing out meals that had not been ordered. Having said that I enjoyed my meal and had 0 problems with the 3 meals we ordered on the table.
I came into gaming room and the lady who was working in the gaming room is without question the friendliest and most welcoming staff member at any hotel. Long black hair Monday 11th around 5ish. Management I'll be back because of her service.
The meal was good but halfway through our meal my eldest son needed to use the bathroom and observed a chef exit a toilet cubicle and walked straight back into the kitchen without washing his hands! I mentioned it to management and was politely asked to leave.
Upset with service and hygiene is an understatement, sadly we won’t be back
Trip
Had a late check in and the girls that were working were both lovely and very friendly. The room we stayed in was so nice and clean. We didn't expect anything flash for the price we paid but were very impressed. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely stay here again.
My husband chose the chefs suggestion which was on the board saying it was chicken breast. When it came it was the leg and thigh. When my husband was half way through he found a long black hair. The waitress offered a free drink but we had enough.
I have never had as good a value for an affordable weekend away, the meals were fantastic! Our room was absolutely spotless & a short cab ride from Adelaide airport. Thanks Findon Hotel! We will be back!
If I could give a lower score I would. Poor service, no communication, NO Meals. Whatever I really would like to write is unpostable. We will NOT return.
Went for mothers day lunch, the food was overpriced for what was recieved and took 60-90 mins to arrive. I was appalled and ready to cancel my order when it finally arrived.
1 * for the semi friendly service and 1 * for the decor.
Service was fine but the schnitzels were terrible along with the cold chips that accompanied them. Sorry Findon hotel gave you another chance after having bad food years ago and again have lost my confidence for another several
I ate once in the English pub side of this establishment, only once. Anyway, we tried the other eating area today. We shared some arancini balls, not sure what was in them except rice and some Parmesan cheese. They were quite ordinary. Main course was a chicken snitty and graziers beef pie. The snitty was the least generous one I've ever seen, thought it was a quail. I very much doubt the chips were made in house, starting with potatoes. The pie was OK, but served with minimal gravy and a bit uninspiring, and the sides were just deplorable. Ratty looking spinach (possibly salvaged from the arancini balls plate) and plain old steamed tasteless garden peas. So this will be just the once too.
Visited wiyh family as kids eat free on Sundays and there is an indoor playground though quite small. Blackboard wall but no chalk. Very quiet. Service was fast. Mains were good.hubby said his steak was excellent though more rare than medium. Kids had mac and cheese which were huge aervings but a bit bland. Sticky date pudding was dry and tasted a bit burnt
The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The steak was cooked exactly to my liking. It was a nice and quiet evening with friends on a Sunday night. Great value for money.
What a joke of restaurant this is, we ordered Pork Chop 15 minutes later was told not available, changed to burger half an later was told they don't have that either. 50 minutes our food still not ready
Nice atmosphere. I felt the meals were pricey. Child meal of fish and chips was very generous. The size of the fish was too big to be child size.
Good time with good people and I won some money, yes I spent it straight away but hey that's my fault. The staff are awesome so keen to help. Great night
Hotel is alright as it’s cheap. Gambling hall underneath and you smell smoke everywhere. Aircon sitting on roof outside is terribly noisy.you should have a solid sleep.
I'm a regular customer at this venue as l enjoy a meal with my family every month or so. The meals are really good with lots of variety and specials for every taste. Have tried many of the other local watering holes but found problems with the service or quality of the food which l have not experienced at the Findon. The grand-daughter enjoys the kids play area they have their.
My meat was tuff
My salad had mold on a few pieces of lettuce.
When notifying a staff member, she then went to get the chef, to my disappointment all i got was I'm sorry I'll check the rest of the salad.
There was no offer of another salad.
Very upsetting to think that there was no care factor.
I will not be dinning there again, and recommending to my family and friends.
Very upsetting.
