Findon Hotel

We had dinner here last night (New Year’s Eve). I really wanted to leave a great review as the staff and their service was 12/10!
The place was very quiet (3 other small tables of people who were eating) and the staff were friendly and polite but unfortunately our meals were a bit hit and miss. We tried to order using the app but the specials weren’t put on there so we had to order all meals at the bar, we ordered the steak special, a rump and crumbed fish. No free garlic breads were provided even though we couldn’t order using the app at no fault of our own.
I had the rump cooked med with mash potatoes, salad and gravy. Rump was very dry, over cooked, tough, gravy very thick and gluggy, salad was a handful of mixed salad leaves and 1 piece of tomato. I could only eat the mash and 3 cuts of steak (my partner ate rest of the meat so it wasn’t wasted).
My partner enjoyed the steak special, the steak was ordered med rare and came out closer to med cooked so was still good.
Our friend had the fish and said it was ok. All servings were a good size. And we didn’t wait long which was good.
Our table surface was very sticky for some reason.
The only reason I didn’t send back the steak was out of politeness and we needed to get to somewhere else.
I would go back again for a burger or a schnitzel with veg but not a steak and definitely not the salad.

Now my local pub. The porterhouse steaks we had tonight were the best we’ve had in a long time. Thanks chef and thanks Jesse for your wonderful hospitality!

Food was great, staff lovely.
Would give 5 stars but due to having to wait to be served only 4 stars as Staff were over worked, short staffed and because of this we had to wait 10 minutes every time to order food or drink.
I blame management not staff on this issue

Had dinner with a group of friends last night. Most of us had "seniors meals" which were great and good value at only $16.00.
The meals came out quickly and the staff were very courteous and friendly, especially Jacqueline. We look forward to dining there again.

Had a wonderful lunch with friends today. Steak cooked to perfection.

Not a bad pub, fairly busy, polite & friendly staff. I highly recommend going to a live band night. Very enjoyable experience

We have dined here twice in the last couple of months. Mainly on a Sunday afternoon. Found the venue to be quiet and food was spot on. We will definitely be back.

Took the better half here for dinner the other night and was quite impressed. Great, friendly staff, fantastic dinner at reasonable prices and the atmosphere was pretty good. Plenty of parking around the pub as well. Recommended trying if your in the area.

Good playground for the kids but the food leaves a little to be desired and is rather average for the price.
I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again.

I had an amazing seafood dish. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out in a timely manner.

Today is a day of first
I got kicked out of my first pub. At 4pm.why? Because i didnt have mask on.i ordered my first beer was told put a mask on. I told the bar staff i have a medical exemption they asked for proof i told them "im not disclosing my medical information to you. They allowed me to be in there venue with attitude for 2hours picking up my glass as soon as i finished my drink and telling me to by another! THEN the second i finished my 3rd drink i was told i need to leave because I have no mask. I then tell the "bar tender" to get management as i felt i was being harrased. For there manager to demand my exemption.and demand myself and my masked friend to leave the venue What terrible treatment from the findon.

I always love staying there, great for business, Rooms are modern, people are fantastic and always know you by your first name, the Findon always makes you feel like your Home away from Home

Close to everything, love the place.

Drove 20 minutes to take a mate from interstate to the Rat and Parrot for a quiet Kilkenny on a Saturday. Imagine my surprise when last drinks were called while Saturday night footy was still on!

Disappointing, mediocre food, not all of the group received their meal at the same time.
Would not go there again.

I had a rear steak with mushroom s and it was good and tasty and well cooked I well de back to the findon again

My partner and i eat here regularly we both love the atomosphere, the staff are excellent at accomodating our needs, the food is to die for.like always we will be returning to enjoy a night out

Had the bar staff Christina stayed at the Findon, i would have rated it 5 stars, she was the BEST gaming staff id ever seen.
The meals here combined with the indoor playground for kids aswell as the entertainment that occurs including karaoke amd great live bands make a worthwhile Hotel to visit or make a regular family outing
