Encounter Bistro

It was just Ok. Food was plentiful but not hot enough and served on cold plates on a cold night, and was pretty mundane. Service was good however.

The food is great. Carvery meats are cooked to perfection. Every roasted vegetable is available. Plenty of room. Very clean and a great ambience. Staff a very helpful and don't mind a chinwag. Seniors can enjoy great food and still have money left in their pockets. The views are like paintings through the huge windows in the Bistro room. This is a must on your list if you are visiting Victor in Summer or Winter. The access is simple with large doors and ramps for the handicapped and elderly.

Enjoyed the carvery for $29.00. Two roast meats, gravy, roasted veggies, salad, soup, dessert, coffee (no decaf unfortunately). Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff

Avoid this place. It does not deserve even a one star rating. Booked a table for 6 for an evening meal and each one of us left with complaint about the almost inedible food and its presentation. Don't waste your time or money, there are other eateries nearby.

Yiros meat.tough and dry.was made out from old steak or something. Return the plate to show them.didn’t care about saying sorry.we won’t be back.very fair food

So disappointed with the menu change. No calvary. No buffet. No desert bar. Meat was tough and fatty. Veggie bar contained old tasteless veggies and didn't even get a steak knife to cut the tough steak. Never coming back again. Now I know why the place was empty

Entree was great. Followed by Yiros which was not so good. Not much meat which looked and tasted like left over lamb roast with no spice. Staff didn't seem interested. Will not return

Very disappointed that the carvery has changed.
It has no love in the meal like it used to.
The meat is tough, veges have no flavour and whats with no dessert bar anymore! We used to look forward in going there. It was different to all the other pubs in the area. Now its just like the rest. Cheaper is not always better! Not going back in a hurry. Very sad that it has changed.

Great service. Food was done to perfection. Price was also affordable. I will certainly be back. Well done to the team.

Portions are generous and the food was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Had the the Carrots and Holoumi Fritters for starters and the roast of the day, Lamb and Vegetables. Definitely be seeing me again.

Menu was reasonably priced yet for being on the seaside the seafood plate had old seafood visibly and texture wise. An old piece of lemon and cool chips, with only a 10 minute wait on food it must have eother been a mistake order from another customer or pre made everything. Not sure how it has so many good reviews and a 4 star hotel a joint to it.

Smorgasbord is great tasty food only complaint was the soup needed to be kept hot ours was Luke warm. Will go again and recommend

At bistro ordered balianese chicken salad. Atrocious couldn’t eat it but staff great and got money back. Seafood platter “ counter meal” quality.

My wife and I eat here often and always enjoy our meal. The staff are friendly, helpful and responsive to any requests. Nothing to complain about.

2nd time we have been here no fault. Delicious food service and prices are very fair. Oysters are fantastic real Kilpatrick not covered in yukky bbq sauce! We will definitely be back again. Thankyou guys.

Good location. Semi-buffet. You get one helping of your choice of meat, and unlimited soup salad veggies.

It was a bit of a disappointing night. Some staff were friendly, some weren't. We waited over an hour for our meal and the entree tasted and smelt off. The menu is outdated and the service is very confusing.
