Fairly standard pub experience. Nothing that really stood out in terms of the food experience but a decent reliable place if looking for a pub meal.

Short staffed only one staff member at bar who did a terrific job.should be promoted

2 of us got a large serve of the roast pork.
Incredibly dry. At 12.10pm. It should have just come out of the oven for lunch. So it shouldn't be dry.
Was only just like warm too.
Gravy was like water.
No crackling as promised so I told the wait staff who brought out some that seemed like it was yesterday's.
Why is it so hard to deliver a semi decent roast?
Good spot to watch sports though.
Five 75 inch HD TV's. With main event for the UFC.
OH and on the day they $7.50 imperials of superdry.
My suggestion. Eat before you go for drinks.
And to the manager.
No I'm not complaining on the day. I shouldn't have to to get a semi decent meal.
Do better.
Pay your staff more so they come to work. Or they don't quit.

Food was average at best. $39 steak was the worst I've ever eaten. If I wasn't so hungry and waited so long to get it, I would have sent it back. Would not recommend.

Recently renovated and now wonderful area to dine Shame the menu hasn't had an overhaul for ages.

Really great meals. Our meals took 1 and half hours to arrive. We were a very large group and it was a Sunday so we did understand. We enjoyed our meal and the venue was lovely.

The main meal was excellent.
I was with a group of people.
When collecting our main meal plates, we were asked when we'd like dessert. We said straight away.
40mins later we queried what was going on.
We were told they forgot us.
In the end it was 55mins.
What a joke.
Not remotely impressed.

Service was great and very quick on a busy night and the food delicious, my mother in law said it was the best sticky date pudding She has EVER had.

Our group of 15 have a great time and scrumptious meal here. The dining area is very spacious.

As a meat eater, the carvery is just what I need for a fix after more than a fortnight exploring the outback.

Not a good experience, wife had tomato, onion, mushroom and cheese omelette, I ask for no cheese so omelette came no cheese or mushrooms, I had big breakfast asked for poached egg's got fried, asked for bread got toast, ask for sauce got none, asked for coffee an orange juice, got coffee no juice, had to get up an ask them, won't be back.

We came into Victor yesterday via the Steam Ranger from Mt. Barker. As we all disembarked the train, approx. 200 of us, mainly seniors. We all headed to the hotels for lunch.
We were booked in at the Bistro at 1pm. We arrived approx 1.15. We noticed it was very busy. Our meal finally arrived at 2.45. Leaving us no time to do any other site seeing or shopping along the main strip, as our train was due to head back at 3.45. Meal was nice, however, dissapointed we had to wait so long.
Pity extra chef or staff was not called in to help with the extra load.

Went to Victor harbor to enjoy a day out then thought we'd have lunch here and that's when it went down hill the guy working there was really good.
However we waited an hour and a half for our food loosing a big part of our day, and it tasted disgusting the worst thing I have ever tried i ordered fish of the day meal and asked for grilled and it tasted like it was boiled in water soggy and wet so after waiting all that time I didn't eat it as we left the guy that served us offered a refund for the meal the people were really nice and friendly but the wait time and the food was absolutely disgusting.

Came hear with my family over the school holidays for dinner in july, was very please with the service even after i had to fight with them that they under charged me to the point that the chef came out to tell them i was right, and to fix the order so he can finish making our food, dont look up what ever you do as you will see dead bugs in the light's, the food was not what i had expected and could of been better, we had left half way in to the meals as to it not being very nice, would of been better going to KFC for the price of 3 meals.i my self wont recommend or come back.

Good hotel food. We both had seafood platter for lunch, good size serve. Staff were helpful and friendly.food arrived quickly. Salad and veggie bar was nice. Too full for desert! Have been before and will definitely come again.

Staff were able to squeeze us in on a busy day which was great.

Salad bar was nice, the meals were ok but lacked flavour.

Overall a pleasant experience.

Great food and a great experience we were served by David he was fantastic towards us, he was run off his feet and still going out of his way to not make us feel like just another table. The salad and veg bar was great, plenty there, my only fault was the Calvary dessert was a bit cheap.

Was staying for 2 nights at Goolwa. Decided to have one of the dinner at this place. A simple place but I enjoyed myself.

It is situated near the beach. There are a few parking on road side. Typically 2hrs parking.

Most of us had the sirlion steak, but I decided the seafood plate for a chance. I would give the dish 8/10, environment 7/10amd overall service 9/10.

I would come back again. Hope you enjoy your meal here.

Always a good meal available here at reasonable prices, nice location and plenty of parking spaces nearby.

Ready for a pleasant evening meal. Chose Pork Scallopini from the menu, wish I had chosen Carvery meal, as whilst the pork was nicely cooked, the meal in it self was very bland. Mushroom sauce, where were the mushrooms? , and what sauce there was, was minimal.
I have never eaten something whilst cooked well, had very little taste. Even the potato mash was bland.
At least my husband enjoyed his meal.

Good food at a reasonable price and excellent service from the staff. Had the csrvery special and had more than enough to eat
