Earl of Leicester Hotel reviews
64If you want a parmy and a beer this is the spot to visit. They have a massive selection of drinks to try to go along with your massive schnitzel. This visit unfortunately I was not up to the challenge on eating the whole meal. The beef schnitzel I got was a bit chewy. The taste was fine though.
Disgusting service on Sunday the 29th of October. Went there for a 600g schnitzel which they had run out of. This has happened on 3 other previous occasions. You’d think if it happens as regularly as this and the restaurant was managed competently they’d order more so that customers are not continuously disappointed by being told the restaurant is out if stock of the one thing they’re known for. We ordered the smaller schnitzel which is about $10 more expensive than other places for the same size. My partners beef schnitzel was RAW. She sent it back and they returned with another schnitzel, there was no apology, no refund, no attempt to go above and beyond to rectify the situation. In the meantime my food had gone stone cold waiting for them to sort out their mess. Zero effort to make their customer happy. Absolutely poor by the manager on duty tonight!
Great meals and beer menu. Loved all of them. Highly recommend for someone travelling through Adelaide.
Absolutely disgusting customer service especially the gay bloke with the long hair he need the sack
Great pub, we absolutely love it here. The atmosphere is always fantastic, the craft beer selection is top notch and the food brilliant. Highly recommend
Overdone, very expensive schnitzels, $12 for Pirate Life? I had the same beer recently for $6.50. Had to squeeze past a full table of people to get to the front bar from the dining room as the bar near me didn't serve craft beer! Unreal.
$12 is the cheapest full strength lager available. Pokies, no live music, hospitality isn’t a priority. Don’t bother. Plenty of enjoyable watering holes down Unley Road.
Thank you to the staff for a very nice lunch yesterday (Sat) Juliet, Tony and Ann were very impressed. We realise these are difficult times (Covid) but all worked out well and the staff were all very polite. Thank you Ann
Food was great, service good, but the room was too cold had to ask several times to ask them to turn the a/c down as it was making the food the cold.
Great service and beaut meals with drinks in two eating areas near the two long bar areas. Enough off street parking for 14 or so cars and others can park on leicester Street just off of Duthy St.
Finally getting around to leaving a review for this amazing establishment!
Short of the long is I believe this is where Adelaide’s best schnitzel is found along with some of the best constantly changing tap beers. A solid 10/10 and reasonably priced for lunch or dinner
Well Done everyone at the Earl, don’t change a thing
A bit sad, the parmy use to be so good.
But I ordered it online when with a friend and it is tiny. Use to always talk up this place.
Now I would never go again.
Beers galore. Some special craft beers on tap and in the fridge. Nice rustic feel to the place.
Join the 100 Beer Legends club if you keep coming back. Become famous for having spent over a grand at the place, name in lights!
Best Pub Menu Ever. It has some of the classics but so much more. Lots of parking and a seniors menu with a small price but normal sized meals. Also has a great range of Beers
The food and drinks are good, although there was literally blood all over the floors in the toilet and you won't be expecting to get your name on the wall for drinking all the beers.so that's a bummer.
Food is okay but waiting an hour for it to arrive is disappointing. Unfortunately this is business as usual - because it's the same problem on each visit - last earlier this year, one last year and 3 or 4 the previous year. So it's a consistent occurrence not a.one off.
They take bookings so they know how many people and what time - staffing should be allocated appropriately.
Overpriced food that was overcooked, small, had no taste and was barely warm.
Add in - poor service and it wasn't a great experience recommend literally anywhere else for a bite.
Been here before and wasnt great so I'll give it one thing it's consistent.
Would rate this a 2 1/2 as the restaurant was lovely but staff for the bar especially not very kind. When we went there was a few things not on the menu that we hadn't been told about had to change our order twice. Food wise was average my schnitzel was over cooked and very chewy.
Amazing food. 3 of us chose different entrees and mains and everything was delicious. Recommend trying the sausage roll entree
If you looked at this place you would swear you just stepped into an English pub. Make sure you stay for the Sunday roast. But, be quick! Because the pork belly roast (the best, OMG!) with Yorkshire puddings and this little treat of a pig in blanket and the beautiful fresh veg and three condiments (mustard, horseradish and whipped applesauce is fabulous)
Every Sunday without fail we frequented this establishment and they delivered everytime. They are very consistent in good food. Thanks for making the Earl our home on Sundays. What a treat!
