A beautiful reserve with a great walking trail, a slow flowing creek and lots of wildlife. There are informative signs along the trail and little hidden gems like birdhouses in trees and chairs carved from trees. A great family place. Lots of history. Would be 5 stars if there was a little playground tucked away somewhere.

Nice little walk, good for a quick walk, not too long but it's nice and shaded. Good place to take your dog for a walk if want to go out but can't be bothered doing anything big!

Nice walking path along the river. Good to see a lovely slice of nature thriving next to a town.

A reasonably nice reserve with wildlife, fauna and history info boards dotted along the sealed walk/bike track.
Only noted one shelter with tables and benches. Occasional benches to rest at while using the walk/bike track.

A very beautiful peaceful "mini Flinders Ranges gorge" enjoyed by all ages including their well behaved 4 legged family members. Gawler Council must be commended for maintaining Dead Man's Pass, Clonlea Park, it's ovals and river walks to an excellent standard where the
magnificent old trees and bird life continue to flourish.

A beautiful spot for lunch and a walk. Well maintained paths and facilities. I often stop here for a while when in Gawler. Also it is great spot to pickup some Pokemon while walking if you are into PokemonGo.

Nice for a stroll for a couple of hours. Info signs on native flora and fauna are a nice gimmic.

A great place to walk dogs as the natural terrain of the South Para gorge keeps dogs well away from cars and other dangers. It used to be even better for this when you were allowed to have dogs off lead at any times of day, however the off leash times are now outside the hours 10Am - 4PM. This is still much better than those small enclosed parks that have become the norm around Adelaide as dogs can still get a good amount of exercise. There are bins at most of the entrances to the park and now several stations dispensing dog poo bags as well. It really is a great place to unwind in Gawler with a main ashphalted bike/pedestrian track running the fulllength of the park with several dirt and gravel trails branching off from this. If you are looking for parks where dogs have to remain on leads there are several other good ones to choose from along the Para rivers - easily accessible from the shared bike/foot paths put in around Gawler some years ago.

There is a fair amount of wildlife present in Dead man's pass, quite a lot of birdlife including Tawny frog mouths, Wood ducks, several types of parrots and others. Sometimes echidnas or koalas are to be found and quite often snakes, particularly Eastern brown snakes in the summer months!

Dead Man's Pass Reserve is located in historic town of Gawler, a great park to take a stroll along with your kids and dogs; pretty popular for a bike ride that will go all the way to Apex Park in Gawler.
